Wrecker laughed, "that never stopped us before." In response, Hunter pulled Wrecker closer to whisper to him,
"The kid's been through enough she needs a break, we all do right now."
Hunter eyed Omega and the rest of the group. Omega offered her Mantell mix to Echo, who was trying it for the first time. Orla and Tech smirked while Echo gave three suspicious sniffs at the food before eating it.
"She seems fine to me," Wrecker shrugged, Hunter walks off and Wrecker mumbled to himself,
"Maybe it's not Omega who needs a break."
Once inside, the squad didn't even get a chance to sit down before Cid bombarded them with their next mission.
"A simple extraction on Raxus."
"Raxus?" Tech adjusts his goggles to recite his knowledge, "that is the former centre of the Separatist government. It has since become an Imperial outpost-"
"I'm not interested in a history lesson Goggles," Cid shut him down. Orla held in her laugh at his nickname.
Goggles? Does she have one for everyone?
"You're being hired to locate and free Senator Avi Singh from his confinement. My client will meet you at the given coordinate to brief you. Details are on this now get going"
Orla raised a brow at how demanding she was, did she have the squad wrapped around her finger, agreeing to every mission she set for them? She stared at Hunter, her palm resting on her cheek while leaning up against the
table, seeing how he would respond. Either way, it wouldn't matter, she would be staying.
"Help a Separatist? Not gonna happen," he hurled the data back to Cid who caught it in disbelief.
"Your debt's still not paid, remember? A job's a job."
Hunter directed Orla away to speak to her in private for advice. Cid made a loud exaggerated sigh, "unbelievable."
"You know I can't bring Omega to a planet swarming with Imperials," Hunter told her.
"If you're still in debt then you have to take this job. Let Omega stay with me and I'll take care of her while you're gone."
"You sure?"
"We'll go to my friend Zelda's, you'll be off paying your debt, which shouldn't even exist in the first place, and you'll meet us there afterwards."
After a few more seconds of consideration, he agreed. Hunter went off to tell Omega and Orla noticed that Echo was looking the least happy about the mission.
"I don't like this," he sulked, "we're helping a Separatist. I know times are different, it's just with everything that's happened I don't think I can do this quite yet."
"Then don't go," Orla proposed an easy solution, "I'm staying with Omega anyway, you're welcome to join?"
"No, I can't abandon my squad."
She chided, "Echo we're not at war, you're acting as a mercenary. You're a great soldier but it's a simple mission, just skip this one out."
He shrugged pessimistically, "I don't think Hunter will allow that, he still needs me."
Orla's eyes wandered back to Hunter, "well if you wanna play war, I outrank him by a lot, I'm ordering you to stay."
Going along with it, Echo thanked her with a bow of his head. Not wanting to be left, Omega grumpily stepped back, while Tech, Wrecker and Hunter readied to depart. Hunter turned back when he realised Echo wasn't with them.
