"And he told you?"
Jin nodded.
Jimin snickered to himself and went back to scanning the items. It took him 15 minutes to finish everything and handed the bill to Jin.
"Oh- that's pretty less" Jin said as he dug out the cash from his pocket.
Jimin looked at him in surprise and took the bill back checking the total again "This is less?"
Jin nodded and handed him the cash "Yea, there you go"
He had seen the amount of money that the chef at his home paid every month for groceries which was delivered to his home.
This is was way less than that.
Jimin gave the bill and the appropriate change back to Jin.
As Jin bent down to fill the the stuff into covers Jimin stopped him.
"Wait, I have some boxes at the back. I don't think the covers will work. They might tear."
Jin thanked him and started filling the things he had brought into the boxes.
Now he had three heavy boxes to carry.
"How will you carry them?" Jimin asked eyeing the boxes.
"A cab" Jin said pulling his phone out.
Jimin looked at him weirdly "A cab?"
Jin frowned "Yea a cab. Aren't they there for us to move from one place to another?"
"Yoojin your apartment is down the block. No can driver will come for such short distances"
Jin stood still "Oh- umm.. I'll... I'll just carry them...?"
Jimin frowned "Are you sure you can carry them?"
Jin thought about it and snapped his fingers "I'll just do three journeys. Honestly I would love to walk around the neighborhood. Get to know it well"
"Are you sure?"
Jin nodded and picked up one box. For someone who had never been allowed to do much manual work, it did strain his arm.
But he would not give in easily.
After waving a quick goodbye to Jimin, he set off towards the apartment.
His apartment.
---------------------------------
Jin dropped the last box in the living room, feeling like he had just escaped the clutches of death.
He takes his words back. He hated climbing the two floors. Everything is just wrong about climbing two floors everyday.
His hands were almost numb, his back and legs aching. He should really start exercising now. There was no way he would survive like this.
But he still had work to do.
He went to his room and brought a pad of sticky notes out to label his and his roommates things separately.
He went to the fridge and checked it.
There was not much food in there. A can of milk, some bacon and cheese.
Jin frowned "Why heck does he eat?" Jin muttered to himself as he took the can of milk and opened it.
He was immediately hit with a bad stench, meaning that the milk had gone bad.
Jin huffed and quickly closed it back and marched up to Taehyung's room.
He knocked on it but as he expected Taehyung gave no response.
