27. Is He A Stranger?

"We have to stop for a while till they cross a distance and then follow them from there. I think they sense your aura." He suggested. I nodded.

"Hiding out is going to be difficult for us in the forest. While they're extremely good at seeing in the dark, we cannot see that well in the dark. We only have to rely on our ability to sense them."

"Not that we have a choice."

We hid in a corner.

"So, you are getting married..." I asked him.

He sighed. "My mother and my grandmother want me to but I'm not interested."

"Why? You don't like Anandavalli? I mean Narada muni was praising her so much."

He chuckled. "It isn't like that. Ananda is a nice person. I have known her for a long time. She used to show up at Vaikuntha to meet Sri Hari. Often sang songs for him. You know how young girls are. Like they instantly enchant the elders with their sweetness. Ananda is no different. So, I was always left to entertain her till she was there. At first, it used to annoy me because I didn't like the fact that she seemed to be dearer to him than I was but as I grew up, I got over that jealousy and realized that she's actually nice. We know each other a lot. Kind of like we grew up with each other. We're close friends and she's always been someone who has supported me. All while quickly gaining my father and mother's favour."

"So, what is the problem? She seems like a perfect fit. Beautiful, sweet, supportive, friendly and is loved by everyone."

"Of course, it is important for two people to be friends if they want to be married to each other but you also have to feel something for that person that nobody else can make you feel. The romantic attachment. I don't know if I'll ever feel that. No doubt, she is one of the prettiest girls I've ever seen without coming off as very excessively proud about her beauty. I should like her honestly. My parents love her. My own Guru seems to love her. Vinayaka adores her intelligence. Muruga appreciates her courage. Even Mahadev says that her tenancy and determination are admirable. By this record, I should like her. Anyone would but for some reason, I don't know if I do."

"Are you confused you like her or not?"

"No, I'm confused why I don't like her. Things would go very smoothly if I do marry her. I guess the issues between my father and me would reduce. People in Suryalok really admire her. It wouldn't be difficult at all for them to see us as the Yuvraj and Yuvrani. But I don't know why I like-" He stopped in the middle.

"Wait... you like someone else???" I asked shocked.

"You know, it isn't important. I don't think I'm getting married to her anyway." He brushed it away. He seemed to be in some thought. He shook his head and took a deep breath.

He turned to look ahead into the distance. The darkness was beginning to fall. Soon, the animals will come out for hunting. We then followed them by sensing through the forest. The darkness was a bit of trouble. Omkara let his hand glow up a bit. Letting that light show the path a bit.

If there is a hero, he should be at least one-fourth of him.

Narada's words rang in my mind.

Soon enough we reach a temple. By the view of it, it was an old temple. The place was lit up like it was Diwali there. The temple was large enough and decorated extremely well. The presence of rakshasas came from there. Almost 10 or 15 of them.

"You've got to be kidding me!!!" Omkara exclaimed. The signal of the temple was a familiar energy signature. Baba's. The temple was definitely Baba's temple.
