PART 8

I put his hand down and stood up. I bowed for him. the boss came and set taeju's tie up. he went to a table and put a drink for him. he threw the cup on the table then took the cover and covered taeju's body with it. I looked down as tears fell.

"get him away" the boss said as he opened the door and called for the men.

They all got in and take him away. me and the boss went back to his office. I sat on the couch as the boss went to his chair after he pour for himself a glass of drink. He light his cigarette.

"Y/N, do you remember the day when we were at the BOW'S restaurant?" the boss asked looking down. I smiled sadly remembering every single thing in that day.

Flashback

"me and taeju were sitting on the chair drinking after we finished eating. we stood up when we saw the boss's car stopped.

"taeju! Y/N!" donghoon shouted. I smiled at his presence.

"are the boys here yet?" he asked closing the car's door.

"no, not yet" taeju and I answered. we both bowed as we saw the boss.

suddenly, a group of students ran and taeju put his leg out making the boy fall.

"Manjae, I'm sorry" one of them shouted as they ran away.

"go on and study" donghoon said as he gets money out of his pocket. The boy ignored him and sat on his knees in front of the boss.

"I wanna join dongcheon" he said looking at the boss. I smiled.

"take your bag" taeju said putting the boy's bag on his back trying to wear it to him. "let him talk" the boss said.

we all stare at the boss shock. "what? What do you mean? He's a kid" donghoon said.

"why do you wanna join dongcheon?" the boss asked.

"well... I wanna be cool like you" the boy said panting. Taeju put his bag on the chair. We laughed at his answered.

"are you smart?" the boss asked.

"yes, I am" the boy answered him.

"yah, go and study then, okay?" donghoon said pulling him up.

"I mean it, boss, please accept me, I can handle it" he shouted trying to get away from donghoon and taeju's grip. Then donghoon pushed him away.

"I... never once...betrayed someone who trusted in me, so why does everyone keep betraying me?" the boss said as he smoked and blow it out.

"right... she wants to kill me now, that's why... she should've come here, right donghoon?" the boss said taking a sip from his drink and hold the photo of him and donghoon.

The door opened and Ms. Kang entered.

"there's a warrant out for you, you must run away. they say they have witness, it must be detective Oh, you need to run" she said as she ran toward the boss.

"you told me she would come to kill you" she said.

"exactly, she should've come here" the boss said as he threw the frame making Ms. Kang scream.

"she betrayed me and went back to the police" he said as he walked to a design on the wall. He opened it and pulled out a gun.

"ever since I saved her from dying on the street, her life belonged to me" he said as he cocked the gun.

"you need to stop this" Ms. Kang said. I stood up.

"I won't, I can't stop now, it's not something I can just stop now, it won't end until one of us is dead" he shouted walking toward her and put the gun on his head.

"either I die... or she dies" he said and point the gun on Ms. Kang.

"so, leave, LEAVE!" the boss shouted as Ms. Kang run out of the office.

"Mujin, you need to calm down" I said walking slowly to him. he looked at me and point the gun at me. I stopped.

"you need to leave too, Y/N" he said.

"what about you sir? How would you live?" I asked.

"either I die, or she dies" he said.

"sir, I don't want to lose you" I said walking to him.

"Y/N please, leave, I don't want to see you here anymore" he said.

"no, I won't" I asked. he put the gun down and pulled me by my clothes out of the office and locked the door.

"sir, please don't do this" I shouted kicking and knocking the door.

"LEAVE Y/N!" he shouted and shot a bullet. I flinched when I heard the gun shot. I got out of the hotel and got inside one of the cars and make my to the sea.

I stood in front of the sea looking at the city light. I took a deep breath and let it out. I lay down on the small rocks closing my eyes and listening to the sea's wave.

"Y/N" I opened my eye at a familiar voice. I sat up and turned around. I saw taeju standing in front of me. I stood up and walked to him.

"you are here, you are standing in front of me" I said, and tears filled my eyes. He nodded.

"I'll always be with you" he said. I hugged him.

"can we stay like this for a while" I said not getting enough of him. I didn't get an answer. I looked up and saw nothing in front of me. I laughed at myself. I walked to the car and slept in the back seats.
