You were stunned though as you noticed something faintly ahead.. a spirit. The strange fog had shifted and cleared in response to your very presence.
Your eyes widened and your hands quivered at your sides.
It was Arvin huddled with her knees to her chest. She was a child again with a ghostly light surrounding her.
She looked so vulnerable unlike what you were used to.
You stood there in shock for a moment just seeing her again.
Loki waited pensively for you to approach her.
Slowly she turned noticing you and you were speechless.
She rose to her feet and was silent as well.
To your shock she suddenly ran up and hugged you as you felt a chill run up your spine.
"I-I'm so sorry for this" you uttered in slight horror looking down at her.
She held you tightly but didn't say a word.
Unwilling tears started to roll down your face as you hugged her back.
She suddenly drew in a frightful breath noticing Loki behind you.
He must've seemed terrifying to her.
She knew a God when she saw one and could sense he wasn't trustworthy.
You were still pained by what he'd done for he contributed to a lot of your pain.
"That's Loki.." you mentioned quietly.
She was quite alarmed you were hanging around Loki yet reminded herself you were a Goddess too after all.
It always felt so strange calling you her sister when you weren't truly of relation.. and yet knowing this not once did she falter in calling you family. Even when you were gone she didn't correct the title.
She studied Loki noticing the way in which he looked at you.
"Is he.." she hesitated.
"She's in love with another" Loki answered for you.
You looked back at Loki stunned.
Arvin looked at you seriously pulling at your sleeve.
"You shouldn't go near him he's dangerous" she warned seriously in her childlike voice.
"Yes. I learned that the hard way" you tensed as Loki looked back down.
"I haven't been able to tell you this for it weren't easy at our last meeting but.. I wanted you to know I never stopped watching over you.. I was forbidden you see to.." you stuttered as you tried to put the words together.
"I know" she stopped you as you were startled.
"You need not explain" she looked down as her demeanor shifted and grew to more that of an adult's.
Loki drew closer. "Your time is coming to an end" he advised.
You looked at Arvin with teary eyes for you didn't want to let go.
