"It's fine to be worried princess, it's fine to have fears, if you wanted you could tell me to stay and I would...Sometimes in life we have to be selfish in order to succeed, and that's okay. You can be selfish if you want. I can call them and tell them to pick someone else. I could tell them that I can't do the job because of something, I don't know I'll come up with anything. You are allowed to do that. I care for your health just as much as you do, princess." I flipped to the other side of the bed and I held her close to my chest. She just took a deep breath before answering.
"No. I don't need you to stay. Go. Get that bag." She looked up at me and smiled. It seems like my reassurance worked! I mentally gave myself a high five.
"Are you sure?" I asked one more time just to make sure.
"Yes." She giggled, "Go. I'll be fine on my own." She playfully smacked my shoulder and asked me to give her back her food tray. I obliged and she finished the food in no time.

It was finally time for me to leave and I almost didn't want too. Last night I spent it with Clara and something in the back of my mind wants me to stay.
You love her you fucking idiot. My mind seems to be my own enemy.
I packed my bags last night with the help of Clara. She pulled things out and if I said yes she put them in the suitcase in an orderly manner. I think she has OCD. She's always been like this her whole life, or at least the whole time I've known her. She's always wanted things to be perfect and if they weren't she flipped her shit on every one in the radius. I think she believes that if a place isn't spic and span than everyone in the ten mile radius would die. I told her to get it checked out, but she thought therapists were for the weak.
"Hey." Clara nudged me with her shoulder and I turned around.
"What's up?" I leaned against the wall, waiting for my Uber to get here.
"...make sure you call me. Alright?" She looked down at her feet and I couldn't help but have a small bit of air flee my nose. We've known each other for a long time, so I guess you could say we are family, or hopefully more than that. I adore Clara... and I hope the same for me.
"Of course." I shove her shoulder and immediately the Uber pulled up in the driveway. I looked over at her and she looked so... solemn.
"I'll be back princess. I promise." I held out my pinkie and she grabbed it with hers. Locked and sealed. She laughed and pushed me out of the house.
"Get that money, lover boy." She winked at me and I couldn't help but get flustered.
"I will. Oh! And you keep eating! Please. Call me if you need help and I'll be on the next plane back." I yelled as I was walking towards the car.
"Yeah, yeah. See ya asshole." I clutched my heart and made a flabbergasted face at her and she just giggled in delight.
"Bye princess." I said before getting into the car.
"Go! Bye." She urged me on because it seemed like this was going on for forever.
"Bye." I got into the car and the last thing I saw was Clara watching the car leave behind the gates, and drive down the long narrow driveway.
