26. Rescue

She giggled and pulled out an empty syringe attached to a tube that connected to her mask.

"How about suck, suck, suck?" She asked as she threw it towards you.

You ducked under the syringe and reached up to grab onto the tubing. As you held it in your hand you realized something.

It's no capture weapon... but...

She came running towards you again, knife in hand.

You pulled on the tubing and dodged her knife once more. You wrapped the tube around one of her wrists and then grabbed the other to force them together.

You sighed as you successfully tied her wrists together tightly.

No way she's getting out of that anytime soon.

You jumped when an explosion went off right behind you. You turned and saw Bakugo flying threw the air with his palms facing you, Mr. Compress got blown in the opposite direction of you.

"I said watch the magician!" Bakugo shouted.

"Sorry!" You shouted back.

All Might isn't losing... but I can't tell if he's winning either.

Just then a giant ramp of ice formed high in the sky.

You looked up as Iida, Midoriya, and Kirishima flew over your heads.

"Come on!" Kirishima shouted as he held out his hand.

"Five seconds, right?" Bakugo said. "Borrow my quirk, then follow me!"

He looked up at the three still flying through the sky. He counted to five in his head and then pointed both his hands towards the ground.

Explosions left his hands right at Shigaraki tried to grab him, and in an instant, he too was flying through the air. He quickly reached the other three boys and grabbed onto Kirishima's hand.

You could only watch from the ground.

You put a hand on the side of your head.

Why isn't it working?

You hit your hand against your head and tried to activate your quirk, but it didn't work.

Fuck.

You looked around at the villains, a few of them tried to go after Bakugo, but they failed when Mt. Lady blocked them. The rest were surrounding you, and you knew that you were gonna lose this fight.

It felt like they were running at you in slow motion, and you decided to give up trying to dodge, it would be futile.

But then a cold breeze brushed past you and the ground you stood on suddenly froze over. A pillar of ice formed under your feet, and you were raised high into the air.

You turned around to see Todoroki crouching on the ice pillar, his right hand pressed against its surface.

Once the pillar reached it highest point, he grabbed your left hand.

"Quickly!" He shouted as he used his right foot to create a ramp going down the pillar, it went outwards, away from the fight and towards civilization.

You let him pull you closer to him as he slid down the ramp.

By the time you got to the bottom you were at a loss for words. And more than anything you were mad at yourself.

"Are you alright?" Todoroki asked as he pulled you into the crowd of people who were looking up at a billboard. "Why didn't you follow Bakugo?"

You both walked up to Kirishima, Midoriya, Iida, Yaoyorozu, and Bakugo.

"Yeah!?" Bakugo shouted. "You got a death wish?!"

"My quirk didn't work." You mumbled. "I couldn't do anything."

"What do you mean it didn't work?" Yaoyorozu asked.

You tried to activate your quirk, failing again and giving yourself a headache at the same time.

"It's just- not working" You said.
