10. The Avengers

Right when Matteo got to the control room where everyone was he seen the twins standing in the corner. Matteo didn't think twice but he quickly ran to them hugging Pietro trembling. Wanda and Pietro Both looked at the scared boy clinging onto Pietro for dead life. "(I'm s-scared.. I wanna l-leave..)" Matteo said quietly before he started to sob. Pietro sighed softly before he picked him up and slowly started to rock him. "(Shh.. it's ok bud. We won't let anything happen to you ok? Me and Wanda will protect you. Just like mama and papa told us to when you where first born.)" Pietro said as he then made Matteo look at him.

Matteo sniffled and looked at Pietro in his blue eyes, he then hid his face in the crook of his neck and trembled. Pietro did a little smile before he rubbed his brothers back and looked at Wanda. Wanda had a small smile but she was still a bit concerned for Matteo, considering the fact that she seen the cuts and bruises on him.

Right when they all got a bit settled in with each other again they all heard Strucker along with someone working. "Sir it's the Avengers." The guard said as he scattered around. This is what made Matteo go off I to full on panic. He started to tremble as he had bad memories and nightmares about them pop up in his mind on loop. Wanda noticed him right away, she took him out of Pietros grasp and held him close to her. "(Shhh..I got you..Sissy has you..don't listen to them..just listen to my voice and my heartbeat Bubba..)" Wanda said in a mothering voice as she rocked him. Matteo didn't listen to anything else but Wanda and her only, he didn't know how much time passed or what else happened in the background. The only thing he heard was Strucker along with the guy he works with. "Let's show them what we accomplished. Let's send out the Twins and let the little one protect the scepter." Matteo burrowed his head into Wanda tightly and trembled. Wanda and Pietro both looked at each other before looking over at them.

"No. They aren't ready. And Matteo isn't even close to ready." Strucker said as he looked over at the twins who where trying to comfort Matteo. Matteo sniffled as he blocked out everything they where saying besides the yelling going on. "NO SURRENDER!" Everyone yelled. Matteo trembled before he felt them moving, he didn't think much of it but he just stayed hidden into Wanda.

Right when Matteo was about to look up he was put down. He looked up and saw the twins looking at him "Ok Bud. We will be back. Don't come out of this place ok? We will come back for you. And if anyone comes near you even if it's the guards use your powers. Got it?" Pietro said as he kissed the top of his head. "We will come back for you Bubba. Stay hidden ok? We love you." Wanda said as she also kissed the top of his head. Matteo sniffled and looked at them "o-ok..please h-hurry back..bubby..and sissy.." he said sadly before he went into the dark shadowy small corner. The twins smiled at him before they both took off to go join the fight. While Matteo sat in the dark corner curled up hugging his knees.

Time skip

While Matteo was hugging his knees and slowly dazing off into a little sleepy state he heard voices and fighting around the corner. "I know your behind the human experimentation. How many are there?" A voice said before he heard thudding. Matteo was confused before he went and got up to go peak around the corner. He seen a tall muscular man with a white star in the middle of his chest along with a shield. "We have a second enhanced, female do not engage." The man said. Matteo trembled before he watched him along with Strucker. He knew his sister came out to fight but he didn't see her, so he knew she left to go fight somewhere else.

"You'll have to be faster than that." Strucker stated as he looked at the man. Right after he said that the man with the shield kicked the shield at Strucker and made him fall and going unconscious. Matteo gasped and stepped back, but right when he did that he slapped his hands over his mouth and watched the man look around. "Who's there?" The man said as he looked around before he spotted the dark corner. Matteo teared up before he leaned up against the wall trembling. All he was thinking about was how he was about to die from the people that harm other people. Right when Matteo was about to use his magic he was collided with the cold shield against his chest.

This made the young boy scream out in pain before he fell revealing himself to the guy. As he clutched his chest where the shield hit him he looked up as saw the man look shocked at him. Matteo couldn't do anything besides have tears weld up, he then used his white wisps to push him down the stairs again. As he made the guys with the shield fall down the stairs he looked over at Strucker who was unconscious. Matteo had tears slip down his cheeks before the world went dark.

As Steve ran back up the stairs he looked down at the young unconscious beaten up boy along with Strucker. "Guys I secured Strucker. I also have a third Enchanted, Male, seems to be around 6 by the looks of him." Steve said as he then went over and picked up Matteo and threw him over his shoulder. Right when he did that he felt how light and skinny he was, he sighed before he then went over and grabbed Strucker to go bring him captivity.

With the twins

Right when they let Tony leave with the scepter they watched from the window as they left into the distance. "Wanda come on let's go get Matteo and leave." Pietro stated as he grabbed her. "Ok. Let's go." She said before they both speed off to go get Matteo back at the hiding place they told him to stay at. 

Right when the twins got to the dark corner they where met with nothing. "Matteo?" Wanda called out.right when she called out she felt Pietro leave to go find him around the whole hydra base to find him. Wandas breath hitched when she looked around to find no sign or trace of him. As Pietro ran around the whole hydra base he found nothing, right when he ran back to Wanda empty handed he looked at his twin with a sad look. This is what made Wanda scream out before she cried, she then was hugged by Pietro who had tears rolling down his cheeks. They both had lost there baby brother again, and this time they knew who took him away from them, the Avengers.
