Before collecting a new towel and rag, she gave them a call to thank them for getting her gifts. It was bingo night so they didn't let the call last long but it did make her miss them a little more. She wandered off in the bathroom with her speaker and set up for a long session of waxing, washing her hair and a shower. Sanchez was scheduled to pick her up around 11am tomorrow which meant she needed to get all her affairs in order that night.

Now naked as a mole rat she dried herself and wrapped up in her satin robe. Something told her to step a door over and say hey to Victoria since she hadn't seen her earlier that day. She tapped on the door and heard light sniffling which made her open the door to Victoria quickly wiping tears from her face. But her bright red eyes were more of a giveaway than a wet face.

"Oh hun, what's wrong?" Asha closed the door and kneeled down in front of her.

Victoria struggled to get her words together. She was hiccuping and sniffling all in the same breath making it difficult for any words to form. Asha moved closer to her and wrapped her arms around her best friend. The least she could do was hold her until she could get herself together and explain what was going on.

It took about five minutes for her to calm down but every time she tried to speak she'd sob again.

"Babe I'm gonna need you to breathe so you can tell me what's going on. Take a deep breath. In...out, yes." Asha instructed. She watched Toria do it a few more times. "Now what's wrong?"

"I–" she hiccuped. "I think I had a miscarriage."

"What?" Asha's eyes stretched. "Why? Why do you think that?"

Victoria picked up her phone and went to her camera roll, "What does that look like to you. I-I was cramping f-for two days straight and at first I thought my period was going to come because you were on. But it didn't and I'd been feeling weird for a while. I just knew I couldn't be pregnant because me and Zeek are careful. We know we're not ready so we take the necessary precautions."

"But?" Asha asked hearing hesitance in her voice.

"Miami." she pouted. "We were drunk and he hadn't bought condoms and we just agreed he'd pull out. I got the feeling he didn't do it on time but he was sure he did so I didn't even get a plan B the next morning. That's a fetus, Bug. I don't have blood clots and I was tender for weeks. I should've known."

"No, it's normal to not think anything of it especially when you thought Zeek pulled out. You're not at fault for this. Have you said anything to him or did this just happen?"

"No, this was yesterday but I was thinking about it all day today. And I want to tell him but at the same time this is good. We're not ready for a baby, Asha."

"I believe you." Asha let her know because she looked like she needed reassurance that it was good thing. "I just don't want this to start any issues between you two because this might weigh on you and he won't know what's going on. You know I'm here for you one thousand percent but he's your boyfriend. He was also part responsible for this coming about."

Victoria deeply inhaled and caught a tear with her knuckle, "Let me go over there. Thank you Asha."

"Of course and I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I can't imagine the mixed emotions you're feeling." Asha gave her a hug.

"I love you." Toria muttered as they held each other.

"I love you too. I can drive you over there if you want."

"No, I'll be okay." she pulled back and grabbed her purse. "Don't worry about making tacos for me because I'll probably stay there."

"Let me know when you're there, okay?"
