She chuckled, "That's okay. What is it?"

"What you usually get."

"And you remember that?" she perched an eyebrow.

He waved his phone, "the notes app is my bestfriend when it comes to your complicated orders."

"They're not even complicated but my sandwich is perfectly fine. Pick your shoulders up," she leaned him over and kissed his cheek.

Asha unwrapped her sandwich and marveled at the honey butter he was certain to add as well. There was no sub better than a Publix deli sub and it made for a great start to her morning. Since it was cut in half she picked one half up and took a bite while Sanchez used a water bottle to pour water into a solo cup. He also set a paper plate between them to use as a paint palette.

"What are we painting?" she asked after she swallowed, grabbing one of the canvas. "Ooh nightfall?"

"I was thinking the beach."

"The beach at night would be gorgeous. Maybe you do sunset or sunrise and I do night?"

"That's cool with me," he put all the colors he had closer to the both of them.

For the next thirty minutes, they spent their time painting and eating in mostly silence. It was a silence Asha didn't mind at all. It wasn't too quiet thanks to the birds and cars driving by on the nearby roads, but it was quiet enough for them to enjoy the moment together. She would steal glances at him to see what he was doing and he would be very concentrated on creating his sunset. It made her smirk each time because he wore his glasses and had to push them up every so often from holding his head down. It was super cute.

"I know this is random but what was your first impression of me? Obviously you knew of me before I knew of you but what came to mind?" she cleaned her brush off in the now murky water.

"Uh...in all realness? damn," he glanced up with a goofy smile.

She softly chuckled, "Damn? Really?"

"Yeah, it was one of those double take moments when you gotta make sure you really saw what you seen. Your hair was super big like damn near bigger than you. I haven't seen you wear it like that since – not in person at least. Your legs were out too and I'm a sad sucka for long legs. As soon as you left I asked Coach your name."

"And that's how you knew it the night in the library."

He nodded, "And I could already tell you held yourself a certain way before talking to you but when I talked to you in the library I knew for sure."

"Knew what?" she slightly frowned.

"I shouldn't get next to you. Off rip I knew you weren't a girl that liked to play games or have sneaky links. I would've been bad for business which is why I didn't stop Dorian from stepping to you."

"Did he tell you what I said?"

"That your eyes were on me, yeah. I didn't entertain it because I knew who I was but that night at the party your energy was just.... I don't know. We had to at least be cool."

"I think I told you already but when I seen you I thought the pearly gates had opened," he smacked his teeth. "I'm serious! The pool of men here ain't it. I saw you reading but I couldn't see your face forreal until you were taking a break and no lie your eyes were the first thing I noticed. They're my favorite feature on your face by the way."

"Forreal?"

"You're surprised by that? I love sleepy boy eyes. But anyway, I wasn't even supposed to like you. Yes I was attracted to you but I was supposed to be focused on other things not catching feelings for some crusty boy. When I said friends I meant that. You just turned out to be much more than I expected."
