34. The Raft

With Vision

Vision was standing watching Rodney go through an MRI. He felt guilty for blasting him when he was trying to stop Sam.

As he was standing there he turned away to go off someplace else in the compound. Right as Vision entered the kitchen he looked at the spot where Matteo would always sit at the table. He sighed before he felt what Matteo was feeling. He felt anger, sadness, but it was mostly just fear. Vision touched his stone before he knew it he couldn't feel his emotions anymore, he couldn't feel him. "What the.." he stood there confused. He then remembered what Wanda told him about. He remembered how when Pietro died all she felt was emptiness and the feeling of them slipping away was heart breaking.

Vision then pieced it together, he knew that Wanda and Matteo where both at the Raft now. And he seen the way Ross kept on looking at Matteo when the whole meeting started. "Oh no.." he said to himself before he stared at the empty seat. "Matteo you better not be gone.." he said sadly before he felt a tear roll down his cheek. The Android felt horrible, he felt Matteo's connection disappear along with a piece of him he never knew he had. His small small little cooking buddy his best little jokester, his so called son as he seen him as.

5 hours later

Matteo was laying in his cell on level 3. As the young Maximoff slowly started to get up he felt pain in his arms and in the back of his neck. "O-ow.." he grunted out in pain. He sat up and looked down as his arms. He saw a lot of bandages wrapped up his arms just how they where in hydra. Matteo then rubbed the back of his neck, he felt stitches going up his neck. "W-what the.." he said quietly. He was so confused, then it hit him. He wasn't wearing any shock collars or any cuffs of any sort. He stood up real quick and stood at the door. "Please. Please. Please.." he said as he raised his arms up in position.

"Please don't be gone.. please.." he said quietly again. He then did his movements he would usually to do open up locked doors. He didn't feel anything nor had nothing happened. Matteo's eyes widened, he looked down at his hands. He stood there and tried to make the little wisps appear but nothing happened. Matteo tears up "no! This h-has to be a-a sick joke!.. a nightmare e-even!" He blurted out. He then looked around in the small room. "Ok ok..I don't have s-sissy's powers anymore..bubbys?.. bubbys!.." Matteo took a deep breath in before he then started to run around the cell.

He was running around the cell at his normal speed, he couldn't feel the rushing adrenaline going through his veins anymore. "NO! NO NO NO! PLEASE NO!..T-THERE GONE!.." Matteo yelled out as he collapsed on his knees. He felt empty, he felt alone even. He couldn't feel Wanda nor Vision. He was disconnected from them, he gripped his chest and put his head on the floor before he screamed out and cried. "I-I can't feel you anymore...m-mama..v-vis.." he sobbed out.

A couple hours later

Matteo sat in the corner of his cell, he had blood shot eyes from crying and pale skin. He sat there in the corner of the cell for hours just staring at the ground right in front of him. He couldn't do anything, he felt as if he was now a monster. With his powers he felt normal as if he was born with them, but now he felt like a monster. He also felt alone, he couldn't feel the two people he loved the most anymore.

When he lost Pietro he thought that was bad, but what he's feeling right now is way worse. The guards that would come in and stand guard in front of Matteo's cell. They would talk to him and say that he's cured and normal, and how he got the monster out of him. Matteo didn't like it, all he kept on thinking of is how he's a monster now.

Matteo sat there with his knees up to his chest, all he did was sit there and just think of nothing. He didn't even feel the need to sleep anymore, nor eat even when the guards would give him food. All he did was wait, because according to Ross, Stark is coming to come and get him. Matteo didn't want to see him, he was the reason why he got his powers taken away, and why he can't feel Vision and Wanda anymore. He just wanted to see them again, he probably knew that they both thought he was dead. He missed his mama, and his best friend who he saw as a father.

2 days later

Matteo was eating an apple that the guards brought. Matteo was surprised when they brought him food. It wasn't grey slop like how it was at Hydra, it was actual food. They would give him sandwiches with apples and water. The only thing he ever ate was the apple and drink the water. He didn't trust the sandwich, he only ever ate Nat's. He missed everyone, he just wanted to see them all again, Especially Wanda.

Right as Matteo got done eating his apple he heard someone walk into the big room. Matteo didn't bother to look up, he probably thought it was Ross again with his big mouth saying how he's normal again. "Hey Speedy junior." The voice said. Matteo shot his head up and seen Tony who had a black eye. The little boy just glared at him before he looked away. "Go away. I don't want to see you." Matteo spat out before he turned and faced the wall. "Well that was harsh. I'm here to pick you up. I'm sure you want to get out of this cell." Tony stated. "Go." Matteo blurted out.

Tony sighed. He then went around on the side that has the door, he opened it and looked at Matteo. "Come on. Vision wants to see youZ he misses you." Tony said as he looked down at Matteo. "I dont care." Matteo said as he looked at the window of his cell. "Come on. Why are you giving me this attitude?" Tony asked as he looked down at Matteo. Matteo scoffed "YOU TOLD ROSS TO GET RID OF MY POWERS!" Matteo yelled out as he looked at Tony with teary eyes. Tony was a bit taken back "what? Yeah I mean I did tell him that but I though you wanted this? You always wanted to be normal again." Tony stated. "No I didn't! I just wanted to be a normal kid who goes to school and make friends! Not have my powers taken away! Mama probably thinks I'm dead! I CANT EVEN FEEL THEM ANYMORE! IM A MONSTER!" Matteo yelled out.

Tony felt guilt run through him. "I'm sorry. But we have to go. I never wanted you to feel like this. Now let's get going before Ross finds a way to keep you here forever." Tony stated. Matteo shook his head a bit before he got up and followed Tony out of the cell and through the raft hallways leading to his helicopter.

Time skip

Matteo was back at the compound with Tony and Vision. The little Maximoff has been isolating himself in Wanda's room. He missed his sister, his mama. He just wanted to see her again, but he couldn't. He was sitting on the bed hugging his Dino Lyn. He didn't want to touch Tyro since it had Wanda's scent all on him, and he felt as if he's going to ruin the good part of how Wanda was the last to touch him.

As Matteo was sitting on the bed he heard vision phase through the wall. Matteo looked over at him before he looked down at the ground. "Hey Teo. You gave me a scare 2 days ago.. uh. I'm glad your ok." Vision stated as he sat down next to Matteo. Matteo looked up at him with teary eyes "what do you want?.." Matteo asked. Vision sighed before he put his hand on around Matteo. "I just wanted to see if your ok. The first thing you did when you got back with Mr Stark was run off." Vision stated.

Matteo looked down at the ground before he hugged Lyn tighter. "I'm a monster..I feel all alone.." Matteo said sadly. "What? How?" Vision asked. "I can't feel you or mama anymore.." Matteo said sadly before he bursted into tears. Vision frowned before he brought Matteo close to him. "Shhh.. your alright. I'm here with you. And I can feel you. Your ok Teo." Vision said sadly as he comforted Matteo.

After a while Matteo just crawled into Visions lap and hugged him. He didn't want to let go of him, he felt as if he could touch him he can have the same comfort of feeling them when he had his powers still. Vision smiled sadly at Matteo before he got up with him in his arms and headed to Matteo's room. Vision didn't say anything all he did was kick off his shoes and lay down with Matteo in his bed and held him close. He wanted to help Matteo and have him feel better. So he just cuddled him and turned on the tv in his room so they could sit and watch sitcoms, just like how Matteo and Wanda would do. And for the rest of the day Matteo and Vision stayed in the room and either napped or just watched sitcoms.
