Tears burned my eyes as I says, "Why is this happening?"

"Because you are special, as were your mother and father."

I nodded and he pulls me into a hug, "I can tell that your scared, but you have to understand just how strong and powerful you are love. I have faith in you."

His love for me as his daughter ran through me like hot tea, as I hug him back tightly, "I love you dad."

"I love you more sweetheart." He tightens his arms around me, "I love you so much more."

We stood there holding each other for a few minutes before he pulls away.

"I have to get going back to work."

I nod as I wipe my eyes, "When will you be back?"

"Tonight, before midnight." Looking at his calendar he says, "Is wolfy due Friday?"

I nodded.

"Good." He grabs his files, "I like when he is here. Let's me know that you aren't alone."

I nod, "Is everything fine at the station?"

He shakes his head, "Animal attacks are becoming more frequent and we don't know how to stop it." He sighs, "It's just complicated."

I watched him as he moved fluently around his office, there was nothing that I could say, because 9/10 he knew that it is the wolves.

"How does mom know that I'm practicing?"

"Energy." He says, "The night that your mother was attacked outside the hospital, whether you know it or not, your presence and touch is what healed her."

"What?" I asked.

"Wolves have a tendency to take the pain from others, easing it from them, and witches have the tendency to restoring ones energy. By you practicing you already had the restoring part activated, it's only when you are practicing that the wolf part in you activates."

"So I helped heal mom?"

He nods, "Yes."

I smile, "Cool."

He nods as he says, "I have to go. I'm running late."

"Is everything alright at the station?"

He shakes his head, "No, the animal attacks are getting worst, 2 more came upon or radar just in the past few hours."

"Any ideas on what?" or who? I thought.

He shakes his head, "Hopefully we find out tonight."

I nod as he phone goes off, "Aconite." He says as he gathers up his files and mouths, "I have to go, I love you." kissing me on the side of my head he walks out as I turn to watch him walk out.

"I love you too." I say softly as I watched him walk down the hall.

I stood there in the door way of his office for a few minutes saying nothing.

Finally leaving out of his office I went to go up to my room when I stopped. A soft knock echoed from the kitchen side door as I made my way to it. The sun was down and there was minimum light out back.

A familiar sight of blonde hair and a lip piercing caught my attention as I smiled and walked to the door, "Wolf patrol?" I smiled as I slide the door open.

"Something of the sort." Luke smiles as he hugs me and lets go, "We were on a run and figured we swing by to check up on you."

"We?" I raised my brow just as I backed up letting Luke inside.
