"I don't have any blades, so fists will have to do." I grumbled to myself. Mari gigled, "You certainly like those blades don't you?"
"It just seems stupid to go to a place that you don't know without protection." I exclaimed. Mari nodded, "The people in town shouldn't suspect anything. Pull your hood up."
I tugged the hood up quickly, as another door came into view. She pushed it open, peeking her head around the old wood. She motioned for me to follow her out, jumping up the steps we both walked onto the street.
Spotting a male with white garment's and dark skin, my mind jumped to the dark skinned male who led the Day Court with a smirk. Rhys had probably forgotten to mention that the bastard who ruled Hybern had brought me back from the dead.
Mari led me into the city. She pulled her scarf above her head to protect her from the light misting of the weather. She pointed and spoke, "That's the dress shop I love so much, she's really good. Though most people don't realize it because it's such a small business."
My brain soaked up the information, the way Mari talked about the business was like she admired them. Meaning they were probably good people. She pointed to another building next to it, "That's a business that organizes weddings for people, it's a really good idea actually. Most of the people in town use them."
We continued walking and a male whistled at me, I snarled and flipped hima vugular gesture. His buddies burst into laughter behind Mari and I. She smiled at me, "You really dislike the idea of getting into a romantic relationship don't you?"
The Bone Carver flashed in my vision, before he faded back to Mari. "It is very unappealing, yes." Mari frowned but her gaze lit up as she motioned to a brick two story building. "That is literally the best chocolate shop ever!"
"I'm wishing that I'd have brought money now." I whispered. Mari giggled at my statement. Before showing me the bakery, the markets and the merchant booths. My eyes caught sight of a lovely piece of jewelry.
Mari noticed it too, "It'd look lovely on you." Shrugging I murmured, "It'll be gone before we can get back with money, besides I'd never wear it anyways."
Mari elbowed me, "You are not a general now, you're-" she paused and looked around. "Well you know, you are you, so it'd be appropriate for you to have lots of jewelry."
"I don't need a lot of jewelry," We continued with the flow of the crowd. "I just need a few nice pieces."
Mari nodded her eyes and held a caculatting plot to them, I chose to ignore it. She pulled me over to the blacksmith's where she pointed out their finest crafts. They were indeed beautiful, but I was content with My sword and knife.
Chuckled sounded from behind us, I peaked over my shoulder. The males from earlier were following us. I asked, "Do you have any friends you need to see while we are here?"
She was about to shake her head, but noticed my gaze. "Yes, I was thinking of stopping by tomorrow but we can do it today."
As we turned to another street. "Those males from earlier are following us." Mari stiffened, "They likely think we're both single and that I'm an adult. It's fine."
"And if it's not fine?" I grumbled. Mari murmured, "Stop being so pessimistic, it's sad."
"It's realism sweetie." I chirped softly. She sent me a glare telling me to stop arguing with her. My mouth remained closed throughout the blocks. Mari continued telling me about the select good people she had met in town.
Mari eventually turned us down a smaller street leading us back toward the passage. It was just us, and then males who followed us into the street. Two stalked behind us, while the other two walked toward us from the other end of the alleyway.
