"What?" He snapped at Dee, making her jump.
Did she deserve his attitude? No. Was he gonna give it to her anyway? Oh yeah.
"Well, the bad news is, your mechanic won't be in today." She cringes at her own words, "good news is, uh, I can, um, help?"
Dee smiles and laughs nervously, just waiting for him to lose it. Yet, he doesn't.
"No." He states defiantly.
Dee sighs and crosses her arms.
"I'm sorry, you can't stay broken, and besides, I still owe her for fixing Monty." She pushes back.
When Bonnie refuses to budge, Dee pulls out her phone. She feels terrible having to resort to this, but this rabbit is just too stubborn. She quickly finds your contact having just talked to you. When you pick up, you don't sound any better than earlier.
"Hello?" You croak out.
"Talk to him," Dee says before shoving the phone at a confused Bonnie.
He takes the phone, and Dee walks out, closing the door behind her. Bonnie places the phone on speaker. It's not precisely designed to reach his mouth and ears.
"Um, hello?" Bonnie says tentatively.
"...Bonnie." Your quiet voice comes from the phone.
"Superstar! Where have you been? Are you alright?" Bonnie spouts out.
Why is he acting like this? He hates caring this much, feeling this panic, ultimately losing his cool. It's not like him.
"I'm sorry, I've been sick the last day or so," you pause, trying to steady your breathing.
The sound of your raspy voice and labored breathing has his chest aching.
"You don't have to be sorry for that." Bonnie insists.
"Are you alright? You sound upset." You ask.
Here you are struggling to speak, and yet you're worried about him? He feels like a real ass.
"Yeah. I just haven't seen you in so long, not even at my show." He can't help but bring it up.
"Lola's schedule at work hasn't given her the best time off. I'm sure I'll see you soon." You explain.
Maybe he was just being melodramatic, but...
"I... I miss you." He mumbles out.
"I miss you too, superstar." You coo to him. He feels like his system is gonna overheat, though, not in anger. "Could you please let Dee fix your nose?"
Bonnie practically can feel any defiance left in his body slip away.
"Sure." He concedes.
Dee walks back in just as the two say their goodbyes. She takes the phone from him and pockets it.
"You good?" She asked.
Dee's twiddling with Bonnie's new nose.
"Yeah. Can we get this over with?" He sighs.
With that, Dee gets to work. She leaned slightly over the arm of the chair, removing the frayed wires from his nose hole.
"Ya'know," she starts, a smile playing at her lips, "He tries to hide it, but Montys always excited to see me when it's been a while."
Bonnie quirks his brow at her, trying not to move as she works.
"The fuck is that supposed to mean?" He growls.
