My stomach coiled at the thought that I might just be leaving one hateful pack to another. What if they don't except me?
I could always leave, I told myself knowing that it wasn't something I haven't already tried. I could do it, but this time it would be different, I would be leaving my mate behind, it would be selfish of me. Right? He accepted me, something I never thought possible, and I would be hurting him if I just up and left.
Looking at our joined hands I made up my mind. I'd have to try, only then would I know if this was something I wanted to be a part of.

The ride was a silent one which I was grateful for. I wasn't up for much conversation, though I was surprised Desmond didn't bombard me with endless questions. I blamed it on Osiris's quite large form in the passenger seat for the lack of conversation.
I wouldn't have risen in the same car as him if I had known he was already sitting inside, but when Desmond insisted I get in I didn't fight him. Desmond drove tapping his thumbs against the steering wheel as he listened to music seemingly relaxed.
As I glanced between him and Osiris I realized Desmond seemed to be the only one relaxed in the car. Osiris rubbed his thumb against the side of his index finger in a motion that gave me the impression he was ill at ease. Feeling eyes on him he cleared his throat fixing himself in his seat, that's when I noticed he could see me staring in the side mirror.
Embarrassed I quickly looked away focusing my eyes out the window. I shouldn't be so interested in him, he looked threatening and feral, like he was on his last nerve.
My stomach churned when I recalled what Jimmy had referred him as.
The Alpha Slayer.
The name is pretty self explanatory and the more I thought about it the more my stomach grew unsettled. He hadn't gotten that name by knitting sweaters and taking care of the elderly. From the looks of him I wouldn't doubt he'd killed a man if not a few. I gulped at the fact I was sitting just feet from a murder.
"Seraphina," My name was called and I jumped at the sudden deep voice. The murders eyes were honed in on my ever detail and movement, the state was unnerving.
My pulse quickened, my neck began to sweat, my mouth dried up like a desert and I sunk deeper into the backseat. My action only seemed to upset him as he scowled at how unsettled I was.
Damn it, get me out of this car!
Osiris looked over to Desmond, his eyes fogging over for a moment before Desmond let out a chuckle and Osiris looked back at me. He looked annoyed now when he looked at me.
"We are approaching my pack boarders. When we get there Desmond will show you to where you'll be staying. Don't look at anyone, don't talk to anyone, my pack will have questions and I want to keep them to a minimum." He turned around not interest in seeing if I agreed to his demand. He probably never had someone object to him and it wasn't like I was going to object.
Desmond turned off a road and onto a dirt road. A couple minutes passed by in more unsettling silence before a log cabin came into view, and then another one and another until I counted six before a much larger one caught my attention.
It wasn't much larger then the rest but it was two floors instead of one like the first few I saw.
There were a few people walking around, most carried cloth draw string bags as the car drove by them. Some of them looked at the car we were in and I was more glad than ever that the windows were darkly tinted.
