45. Wakanda

On the jet

Matteo was laying all sprawled out on the ground in the corner of the jet. He was just looking up at the ceiling while everyone was chatting about what was coming. From what the little Maximoff gathered is that a guy from space names Thanos is coming after Visions Stone. Matteo didn't know why but that's all he got from the whole talk. After that he just kinda stopped listening since he got bored and also doesn't understand still.

As he was looking up at the ceiling he heard someone walk over to him. He looked over a bit and seen both Nat and Bruce, Matteo soon sat up quickly and just started at them. "Hey bug Bruce is going to check on you real quick. We all just want to see if your ok and healthy ok?" Nat stated as she gave him a small smile. "Yeah. I won't hurt you. No needles or anything. Just going to do a small checkup." Bruce stated. Matteo just stared at them before he felt his anxiety pick up. "M-mama?.." Matteo called out quietly before he scooted away from Nat and Bruce.

Nat sighed sadly before she looked over and seen Wanda who was sitting next to Vision. Nat then looked at Bruce before she looked back down at the small child. "Hey bug. How about you go over with your mama and Bruce can checkup on you when your with her? How does that sound?" Nat asked. Bruce just looked at her before he looked down at Matteo. Matteo did a nod before he got up and ran past them to go run over to Wanda. "See. Easy." Nat stated as she soon left. Bruce just rolled his eyes and went over to where Matteo was with Wanda.

35 minutes later

Matteo and the team where now getting off of the jet. Matteo was holding onto Wanda's hand tightly as he watched the door of the jet open. Vision was on the other side of Matteo, he had his hand on the back of Matteo's head as he ran his hand through the back of his hair. Matteo was just over all anxious, he did know what to expect.

As the door opened he seen groups of guards walk by and a couple of familiar looking faces. Matteo watched as everyone on the ship left before them, he then felt Wanda and Vision both nudge him a bit. Matteo looked up to see them both looking down at him with a comforting smile. Matteo just swallowed the lump in his throat before he walked with Wanda and Vision off the jet.

As they exited the jet Matteo seen The King Of Wakanda T'Challa. He seen how Steve and the rest went to talk to him while he followed Wanda and Vision. As they where walking Matteo looked around in awe, he never seen anything like the place he was at. He then let go of Wanda's hand a bit as he looked around still, Wanda just looked down at him before she smiled a bit. Before Matteo was about to walk into the building he stopped at the sound of his old nickname. "Snowflake?" Bucky called out. Matteo looked over and seen Bucky who just gave him a bright smile. "SNOWY!" Matteo yelled out, he then let go of Wanda's hand and ran up to him and hugged him. Wanda and Vision both stopped and looked at them, Wanda just smiled at the sight before she continued to watch their interaction.

"Hey kid. How ya been?" Bucky asked as he soon knelled down to his level. "I'm ok..I think. Woah..your arm is cool!" Matteo blurted out. "Yep. New arm. New place to be." Bucky said as he soon ruffled Matteo's hair. Matteo did a little giggle "and I can see your hair is different. It looks cool kid." Bucky stated. "Yeah! It's turning out like Bubbys!" Matteo blurted out. As they both talked Wanda noticed how comfortable he is with Bucky and how he doesn't feel afraid when he's with him. She just smiled before she felt Vision grab her hand. Vision just gave her a smile before he too watched the both of them talk and catch up a bit.

As Matteo was about to continue his conversation he looked over and seen Wanda and Vision smiling at him. Matteo did a little smile before he turned to Bucky "Snowy? I think I have to go. We are here to get the Stone out of Papas I mean Visions head!.." Matteo stated. "Oh well I know that. I kinda understand this whole situation. Besides. I need to go get ready to fight along with Steve and the others. (We'll catch up later on. Go back to your mama.)" Bucky stated as he soon gave Matteo a hug. Matteo smiled and hugged back "(Ok Snowy. I'll see you soon!)" Matteo said before he let go and ran over to Wanda and Vision. "Ok. Now let's get going." Wanda said as she got ahold of Matteo's hand. Matteo just smiled and nodded at her, before he knew it the three of them along with a couple of guards followed them inside.

While they where inside Matteo watched as Vision got onto a table. He then tilted his head a bit as a lady was getting him all set up while Wanda stayed by his side. Matteo didn't know what was going on but all he did was watch from afar, since he was sitting in the corner of the room. Matteo soon seen everyone come into the big room, he watched as they all gathered around Vision and started to talk about the situation. Matteo soon started to daze off and look down at his hands, he then started to play around with his wisps.

As time passed by Matteo grew bored, he was also getting sleepy so he laid his head against the wall. As he was about to fall asleep from his boredom he felt the ground start to rumble. Matteo quickly shot back awake and looked around. He then looked over and seen everyone who was now looking out the windows. Matteo did a small tremble before he soon felt a bad feeling start to form around.

"It's to late. We need to destroy the stone now." Vision stated as he sat up from the table. "Vision Get your ass back on that table." Nat blurted out as she walked over to go put him down again. Matteo just watched everyone, he seen how they where now leaving the room and going off to go get ready to fight. "Wanda. As soon as that stones out of his head you blow it to hell." Steve blurted out before he to started to leave. "I will." Wanda responded as she turned her attention back over to Vision. Matteo tuned everyone out again as he got up and went over to the big window. He watched as guards started to form around and rush around outside and how they where now leaving to the big field. The Maximoff then looked beyond the field and seen pillars sticking in the ground. Matteo squinted his eyes a bit before he soon realized it's the enemy.

As Matteo watched everything that was happening outside he didn't hear of feel Wanda's presence behind him. Wanda put her hand on Matteo which made him jump and hold up his hands that where glowing gold. "Woah! Easy Teo. It's just me bubba." Wanda stated as she soon took ahold of Matteo's hands. Matteo did a sigh of relief before he soon looked at Wanda. "Let's get you away from the window. I don't want you to watch what's going on.. how about you go over and take a nap." Wanda stated as she started to guide Matteo way from the window and now back over to where he once was earlier. "But mama..I'm not tired.." Matteo said sadly. "I know I know..but I just want you to be safe and to be well rested." Wanda stated. "Ugh..." Matteo grunted out. "Matteo." Wanda warned him slightly. "Okayyy.." Matteo gave in. "Good. Now. I'll be over there with Vision. Ok? If you need anything just come get me ok?" Wanda said as she soon kissed Matteo's head. "Otay mama.." Matteo said as he soon watched Wanda go back over to vision side. Matteo did a grunt before he leaned against the wall and just started to play around with his wisps yet again.
