What the hell do I say?? She can't know I'm dating Mattheo! Fuck, shit! "It's Adrian's. We had this uhm...trade or whatever." I said casually.

"It smells of cologne and...a bit of smoke? This doesn't even smell like young Adrian." My mother furrowed her eyebrows. "No- it's his. We were sitting by the fireplace and I must have forgotten to wash it." I said calmly.

"Very well." She said as her and my father walked out.

I heard a peck at my window and went to open it. I saw Daphnes owl. I let it in and took the letter out of its claw.

Maya,
How are you?? I hope everything's going well so far. I feel like we should all meet up at Hogsmeade and hang out, don't you think? Let me know!
Daphne

A big smile began to form on my face, lighting up the room. We only got back a few hours ago but I missed my friends lots already.

The only issue was my parents.

Daphne,
I'm doing well, minus the parents as usual. I hope you're having a really good summer as well. Let's all meet up at the Three Broomsticks tomorrow in Hogsmeade!

I rolled up the parchment and set it inside of my owls claw and I gave it something to snack on before it's journey over to Daphnes place.

Shortly after, we planned it all out and decided to meet up tomorrow.

I put on a pair of dark low rise jeans and a plain brown tank top. My too hugged my waist a little too nicely, it outlined my curves which I loved so much.

I put on my white sneakers and headed out of my room.

"Hey, I'm going out with Daphne and the others to Hogsmeade."

"Don't be out too late. If you need cash, go to the bank and grab some from my vault." My dad said in a drunk tone. I nodded and left the manor.

Mum and dad were definitely drunk.

I waited a few minutes at the entrance when I saw Daphne walk in. "Hey, where's everyone else??" I said as I hugged her.

"Dunno, I just apparated here."

We went to a table and waited for the others to show up. "Are you okay?? You look..down??" I said as I looked at her face. "Yeah, me and Adrian had a little argument yesterday. That's all." She said warmly. "Well what happened?"

"It's dumb. He wanted to do something with just me today and I told him we'd all planned to hangout today."

"Aw you should've! Don't worry about us Daph. He just misses you."

"I hope he isn't mad still." She sighed.

"He could never be mad at you." I smiled.

Everyone eventually showed up except Pansy. I guess Pansy wanted to spend more time with Hermione which was kind of annoying to me because we made plans for this.

Adrian showed up with a treat in his hand, assuming it was for Daphne. He had Daphnes favorite treat, assorted sours. She'd loved sour candy for some reason. I did too.

He kissed her on the cheek and sat next to her giving her the candy. "Im sorry about yesterday. Forgive me?" "Always."

"Aw, guys!" I said with a smile. "Oh shush, Maya." They both blushed.

"Maya- when are you going to get yourself a boyfriend?" Blaise asked. Me and Daphne looked at each other immediately. "What was that look?" Adrian said. "No- nothing!" I quickly said.

"No- tell us." Blaise insisted.

Before I could protest, the waiter came by to take our drink orders. He looked like he was around our age.

"Hi everyone, my name is Daniel. What would you lot like to drink?" He said as he smiled mainly at me.

"Uhh, butterbeer please." I said.

"Same." Daphne added.

"Same." Enzo said.

"Water for me." Luna's dreamy voice said.

"Butterbeer." Adrian said.

"Butterbeer." Blaise added.

"Alright, I'll be back with those in a little." He said as he winked at me.

"Guys, I think he tried to make a move on me." I giggled.

"That's literally your chance to get yourself a man. He seems our age." Adrian said. "Hm, I don't think so."

"Why not?" Enzo asked.

"Well I-" I paused with my lips slightly parted and looked at Daphne. "Guys, cool it. Maybe she isn't interested in him." Daphne said.

"There's something you two aren't telling us." Blaise said squinting his eyes at us.

"No no.." I avoided contact with everyone feeling the pressure entirely on me.

"You're going to tell us what you're hiding or when Daniel comes back, we'll tell him that you are interested in him." Adrian said. "So you're blackmailing me now?? Guys.." I looked around at them.

"Guys that's not fair on her." Daphne defended me.

"Well what are you hiding Maya?" 

"Maya, I thought we all promised in first year to always tell each other everything.." Blaise spoke out.

"Okay fine! I'm dating Mattheo." I said as I looked down and started fidgeting with my fingers. "You what??" Adrian said. "You're joking." Enzo scoffed. "No. False." Blaise said. "Is it really that bad to you guys??" I looked back up at their shocked faces.

"He's the son of a fucking psychopath, not to mention a killer." Blaise lowered his voice. "He's most likely the same exact way. Following into his footsteps.." He added. "No, he isn't. Really, he's way different, with me at least." I said. "Wait- you two are..?"

"Yes, I told him I didn't want to tell anyone which pissed him off for who knows why-"

"See? That right there. Red flag, Maya." Enzo interrupted me.

"No, I told him I didn't want anyone to know."

"And it pissed him off??"

"I mean- I might be pissed if my boyfriend wanted to keep me a secret..it seems pretty awful of me now thinking about it."

"He's gonna break your heart." Adrian said.

"Don't say that. He won't. I know he won't. He wouldn't." I said, I meant it. He wouldn't.

"This is a lot to take in." Blaise said with a sigh.

"Well, as long as you're happy, Maya." Luna said. "Thanks Luna." I said with a cheerful smile. "You guys should really be more like Daphne and Luna." I smirked.

"No way. Imagine what Pansy would say about this." Enzo scoffed. "I don't think I care about Pansy right now. She's spending too much time with Hermione and not her best friends. Quite selfish if you'd ask me." I shot back.
