003. sneaky killer

"Having fun sitting in silence?" She asks Namra. Namra stays quiet and points at Nayeon, who is wiping the zombie blood on the broom onto her napkin.

The two girls stay silent and look at the girl, who doesn't realize she's being watched. She sneaks the napkin back into the pocket of her skirt. Sora turns to Namra who gives her the same face. She's up to no good.

After a while Nayeon is forced into the audio room to apologize to Gyeonsu. She talks to him, but the audience can't hear. Sora and Cheongsan know she's not apologizing, but anyone who doesn't know Gyeonsu would easily miss it.

When Nayeon pulls out her napkin Sora's eyes widen. It's the same napkin she used to wipe off the zombie blood. As Sora watches how she wipes the blood onto his open wound her hands begin to shake.

"Sora, are you alright?" Suhyeok, the guy situated next to her, whispers. "I need to go in."

"Stay out of it, Sora." Miss Park says as she blocks the way to the audio room. "You don't understand, Miss!" Sora exclaims. "I have to go in!"

It takes several boys to hold her back. Sora watches with anger as Nayeon walks back into the room without a care in the world.

Sora grits her teeth to prevent herself from saying too much. She had mentally decided everyone would believe Namra over her just because she is close with Gyeonsu.

Night falls and Gyeonsu is sitting on a chair in a corner. "Gyeonsu, I am so so sorry," - "For what?". Sora shakes her head, "That I couldn't save you."

"Sora you're scaring me wh-what do you mean?" His nose begins to bleed. Sora looks away, afraid to see one of her best friends turn into something inhuman.

Nayeon points at him, and the group follows her hand to see Gyeonsu starting to turn into a zombie.

"Why-Why is this happening to me? I wasn't bitten-"

He is shaking and can barely stand, but he insists on walking out of the room by himself. "I'll get out of here," He repeats.

It's until he reaches the door that he turns back with a scared look on his face.

"Sora, thank you for being my friend. You'll stay alive for me, I know it. You have always helped me, and I'm glad I could help you survive this room even though I'm not." Sora shakes her head, as she mouths him Thank you.

"It's okay. Thank you for everything. Stay alive." He whimpers. Sora tries her best to stop herself from crying. She had to wait until he had left.

Gyeonsu doesn't make it outside and begins to attack the students in the broadcasting room. Sora closes her eyes as she sees Gyeonsu make a run towards Cheongsan.

He falls right down and Sora immediately rushes to the window to look if he is still alive. Her eyes cloud with tears and she has to blink to see Gyeonsu run away with the rest.

"Namra," Her shaky voice manages to get out. Luckily, the girl knows exactly what she meant. Standing up and approaching Nayeon she tells her observations for the whole group the hear.

"If you're so sure, wipe it on your wound." - "Who knows if his blood is clean? He turned into a zombie." She retorts.

Miss Park steps in but soon finds out what Namra has said was all true. She tries to stop Nayeon from infecting her own wound with the blood.

"Y-you murdered him. Just because you wanted to 'save' us so badly." Sora cries, Suhyeok holding her back to prevent the girl from attacking Nayeon.

Sora doesn't have to attack her because Cheongsan has already pushed her to the ground. "You're - " He stops mid-sentence to try and utter out the word, "a murderer."

"I know you have something against me, out of the three of us it was always me. So why did you have to kill him?! You could've just killed me instead!" Sora shrieks, her hands gripping the table so thightly her hands could lock into the position forever.

"They've always chosen you above me, and this time they even chose Gyeonsu above me. I have no friends. I have always despised you because you take everyone from me! - I have no friends at all." She sobs. Nayeon slowly stands up and opens the door, walking out of it.

Ms. Park stops anyone from saving her. "No matter what happens, stay alive. The moment you cause someone to die life becomes completely meaningless."

She rushes out of the door and Daesu shouts after her. The teenagers have been left alone again. Sora crouches down and cries into her hands, processing everything that had happened this day.

From Gyeonsu happily talking about a possible creep teacher, to him turning into a zombie and telling her to live for him. Sora's favourite room had officially turned into her most hated nightmare.
