When I Met You

Chapter 6

"You mean it. People say what they really feel when they are mad." She says. "Not all the time-they do!" She cut him off.

"All this time, I felt guilty for cheating on you and carrying another's man seed without even knowing that you actually had thoughts of cheating on me." She confessed through tears. Dashon's heart broke in a million pieces. His emotions were full of anger and hurt. All sympathy for her being thrown out the window.

"First off, I never had thoughts of cheating on you.... Lauren. I love you too much for that. Only thing I am saying is, you're overreacting. I've turnt down a lot of women for you because the only person I wanted was you and you know that. Second, why would Penda sleep with me? I mean just really think that through. And as far as you cheating on me and carrying another man's baby?" He trialed off.

He chuckled. But that chuckle wasn't out of happiness or because he found something funny. That chuckle was him trying to keep his cool and fight back the tears.

"I can't fucking believe you. Out of all things.... After all we've been through, you cheat on me.. really? And then you having a baby by another man when YOU KNOW I WANTED ANOTHER CHILD!" He yelled at the end.

"And you know what, that explains why you been wearing them loose clothes huh? Trying to hide the baby bump? How far along are you?" He questioned.

"Why? It's not yours." She spoke carelessly . Dashon clenched his jaw growing more pissed off by the second.

"You know what... I'm leaving for tonight. I can't take it. I just can't." Lauren said as she got out of bed. "Good, get out of my fucking sight." He mumbled but loud enough for Lauren to hear.

Lauren rolled her eyes at him. She got herself together, packed an overnight bag and  then marched out of the bedroom. Dashon followed her. As she was about to walk out the door he grabbed her by her wrist. "One more thing, don't tell anybody about Penda being here. She don't need paparazzi all in her business." He made clear. "Let me get this straight.. you talk to me any kind of way, bring another woman in this house and now you want to give me demands expecting me to listen? Pftt negro please." She told him as he let go of her wrist and then she left.

Dashon sat in the living room trying to process everything that just happened. Unexpectedly, Penda came from around the corner. She slowly walked up to him and sat beside him.

"If I am causing any trouble, I can leave." She let him know. "No, no. You don't have to leave. I wanna help you." He reassured her.

"But it's causing problems between you and your wife." She reminded him. "Soon to be ex wife. She cheated on me and is pregnant with another man's baby." He informed.

"Oh my god.... I'm so sorry." She apologized. "It's all good. Everything happens for a reason. That's just God showing me that she ain't the one." He said sighing,

"It hurts though... it really do. Especially since we talked about having another kid and she turn around and do this.." he vented constantly trying to fight the tears. Penda noticed that.

"Hey, don't hold that in. It makes things worse. Just let it on out." Penda coached.

Tears started to flow. "I-I just don't understand, why would she do this to me!? Was I not good enough?" He questioned but mainly to himself.
