Chapter 17 - The return of friends and memories

Anakin chuckled at my overprotectiveness towards Ahsoka and the troopers as he motioned for me to calm down,

"Alright, alright I get the point (Y/N). I was actually the one who got them the antidote with Master Obi-Wan. Actually, you're kinda starting to sound like him when he's giving me a lecture about my recklessness."

glaring at him I simply responded,

"Well I won't if you stop being so reckless, Ani."

weighing his hands side to side like he was considering it for a moment he just settled with,

"Uh... no, it's gotten me this far."

rolling my eyes at him as Ahsoka giggled at us I just mumbled under my breath,

"I swear Anakin, you're going to be the death of me."

he laughed along with Ahsoka before I half ordered them to properly explain what happened on Naboo. They took turns in telling me about the Blue Shadow virus that was planned to be released across the entire galaxy and how they had a run-away droid who stole an active bomb. In their attempt at trying to catch it they accidentally detonated the bomb with the virus inside it. Padmé, or senator Amidala, had been fast to seal the bunker so it couldn't get out to the surface. When she did, her protective suit broke and she was also infected like the rest, except for Jar Jar Binks surprisingly. At this part I saw how Anakin looked disappointed, I could tell that he would have wanted to stay a while longer on Naboo to ensure her recovery went by smoothly. Anakin masked it quickly as it was his turn to tell the story of how he and Master Obi-Wan got ahold of the antidote and was able to save everyone in the bunker. As he finished the story of their mission I sat there speechless at everything I had heard from them. I opened my mouth to say something as my comlink beeped. Answering it like I usually did I heard Wolffe speak up,

"(Y/N) I need to talk to you. Meet me in the southwest corridor."

before I had time to confirm it he ended the call. I wasn't upset, after what I said to him last night he had every right to act like that. Anakin and Ahsoka both gave me a look paired with an eyebrow raised as I stood up,

"Is everything alright..?"

glancing at Anakin I faked a smile,

"Yeah, just got some details to go over since you're back now."

Ahsoka deadpanned me,

"In the southwest corridor?"

throwing my hands up I shrugged,

"I don't know what to tell you, I'm equally as confused. But you know Wolffe, I'm not gonna argue with that Commander. Had it been Cody, then absolutely, but not Wolffe."

internally I was cringing at myself, I was better at lying than this. They both seemed a bit unconvinced but went with it anyways. Giving them a last honest smile I patted Ahsoka on her head before walking out to meet with Wolffe. I have a bad feeling about this.

Rounding the corner and walking through the big automatic door to the empty corridor I saw Wolffe standing by the big window. His helmet tucked underneath his arm like usual. I walked up to him quietly and stopped when I was next to him. He was still turned towards the window as I looked at his side profile and spoke quietly,

"You wanted to talk to me?"

sighing he glanced down at the floor before turning to me,

"I think you know why, don't you?"

looking down at the floor I nodded shamefully. It was so still and quiet in the corridor that I could almost touch the silence. He drew a breath and started talking in a low voice with it's usual sharpness in it,
