Time passes with the snowstorm outside continuing to worsen. Baby Steven and Greg are still sleeping when baby Steven suddenly starts crying and struggling in his swaddle, waking up Greg as well.
"Hey, schtu-ball. You doing a lot of dancing in there. You wanna get out of there and show me your moves?" Greg asks him as baby Steven continues crying and struggling around until his swaddle unravels and his onesie unbuttoned.
"Hey now. You unbuttoned all your buttons I buttoned up." Greg blows a raspberry at baby Steven, causing him to laugh. "Let's get you buttoned back up." He lies baby Steven down and buttons his onesie back up. "Ookie pookie. There."
Baby Steven coos uncomfortably and unbuttoned his onesie again himself, exposing his gemstone.
"Huh...What? Does your... gem need to breathe?" Greg asks confused.
Baby Steven's gemstone shimmeres.
"Hmm... How about... this Greg buttons up the top buttons, leaving an unbuttoned area in middle to expose baby Steven's gemstone. Baby Steven coos in delight, when there was a knocking at the door. Greg opens the door and finds Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl outside, each holding gift boxes.
"Oh! Um, heyyy ya'll."
"Hello." Garnet says.
"Yo Greg, check it out! We brought gifts for little Rose!" Amethyst tells him.
Garnet sets her hand over Amethyst's head. "Amethyst. We've gone over this. Steven is a..."
"...Human baby." Amethyst says sadly.
"And Steven is..." Garnet continues.
"Not Rose..." Amethyst sadly finishes.
Greg lets the Crystal Gems enter the house now and closes the front door.
"Can I get you guys anything?" Greg says. "We've got water, old... plates. Uh... how about some tea?"
"No. We're just here to drop off these gifts." Pearl says coldly.
"Right. Sure." Greg says a little off guard.
Garnet hands her box to baby Steven. "Here you go."
Baby Steven coos in joy.
"You'll probably have to open that up for him." Greg tells Garnet.
"It's just a box made to look like it's been carefully wrapped." Garnet opens the lid of the box. "Ta-da!"
The inside of the box revealed to be a razor and Greg quickly swiped it away. "Whoa! Thanks Garnet, but I don't think he needs this." Greg says being polite.
"Oh, he'll need it." Garnet says adjusting her shades. "In the future."
"Let's open mine next!" Amethyst says as she rips her gift open revealing it to be diapers.
"Wow! Diapers! This is so practical!" Greg says impressed. "Wait! Are these adult diapers? They're way too big for him."
"So tell him to make himself bigger. You can do that! Right, Little Greg?" Amethyst says as she ruffles baby Steven's head
"You can call him "Steven". That's the name Rose and I liked the most." Greg says with a small smile.
"Well, whatever you call him, you'll need this." Pearl says now as she holds out her gift.
"Uh, thanks." Greg asks as he takes the gift. "This some kind of kid's book?" He then asks as he tears it open. "Oh. A dictionary."
"Obviously, it's the best gift for a being that can't yet communicate." Pearl says.
