Running out of time

Part 19 - Explanation

- Is this the way how you address your father and your creator?!

- Let me tell you something, 'father'. You never cared about me, you wanted to turn me into your own tool of destroying this world just for your own ego, and after that you would most likely throw me away like a broken phone.

- If you followed my plan, then I would never...

- Shut up you liar! All your words mean nothing to me, just like I didn't mean anything to you when I was dying!

- I left you there to motivate you to fight back.

- Yeah, of course, nice motivation! Leave your child to rot in a dimension where nobody will remember about her!

- I am giving you one, last chance. Go back in there, and destroy them all!

- Go fuck yourself. - I said knowing it would enrage him.

- Very well then... Guards! Execute her right now!

I barely had any time to react, as his guards started shooting at me with their magical weapons, which would surely kill me immediately, however it was still enough for me to put a shield around myself. While they were trying to break it, I started bending the reality around them, in order to kill them as quickly as possible. I pierced multiple of them and decapitated almost the same amount, however I knew it wouldn't be enough.

Scarlet King was too well protected, but everyone has their own weakness, and I quickly spotted it. A small, open space between legs of one of his personal guards was enough for me, and I was going to exploit it. I gathered an enormous amount of power, and after making sure I was safe for at least a second, I released it in there and teleported away as far as possible.

I knew that wasn't enough to kill him, but at the same time I was aware it managed to hurt him, as the explosion blew up the entire castle. In order to fully destroy him and free the Multiverse from his tyranny I would have to combine my powers with all my siblings, and right now I couldn't do that, but I knew, sooner or later we would have to stand up against our father and overthrow him. I didn't have much time left, soon others would start searching for me, so I instantly left this world and broke my connection with it, in order to safely return to my body.

Your POV:
We have been trying to wake Olivia up but nothing seemed to work, and we were afraid, something terrible happened, but when she opened her eyes and said, she was fine, we felt relieved. However, despite destroying that machine, we still felt terrible because of the fate, which rest of humanity has met. When she stood up, we approached her and asked:

- Could you tell us now, what is this place?

- I would have to tell you sooner or later anyway. Do you remember how the entire universe, including all possible dimensions, got annihilated?

- It is hard not to remember something that happened few hours ago.

- So, does any of you have any idea, what this place could be?

- A different dimension, safe from that machine? - Abel tried to guess.

- All dimensions in the universe got destroyed.

- A different universe?! - Iris said immediately after realising what happened.

- Exactly! Only because we are in different universe, we were able to survive this hell.

- But I cannot understand one thing... - Cain responded after thinking for a brief moment. - If you wanted to bring us here since the very beginning, then why did it take you so long?

- Oh, I am sorry, that creating a completely new world from scratch and trying to make it similar to ours as much as possible takes a long time. - She spoke before bursting out laughing.
