Gandalf, Thráin and Doreen ran. They ran like never before. The poor dwarf could not keep up much, so he clung onto the wizard for aid. Doreen ran in front of them, leading them to the exit of the old fortress.
A couple of orcs astride on their wargs were right on their tails. Gandalf swiftly turned and used his staff to break down the tower they ran passed. Large pieces of the broken tower fell down onto the first few orcs and wargs, the wargs yelping out at the impact which did not last long as they succumbed to their injuries.
"Come on, Gandalf!" Doreen's hoarse voice screamed. She and Thráin crossed over a bridge that was damaged for the most part, and when they got to the other side, they stopped so Gandalf could catch up. When he did, he froze in place at the sight of a large shadow that appeared in front of him.
"There is no light, Wizard..." it spoke. "... that can defeat darkness."
"No! Gandalf!" Thráin ran over to his friend, to save him. Doreen watched in horror, she didn't want both of them to die. She would be alone and she'd end up dead by Nhel.
"Run! Both of you!" Gandalf turned to his two friends, but when he saw Thráin already running up to him, his eyes landed on Doreen. "Go, Doreen! Go!" He looked away, hoping she listened to him. A short scream was heard, followed by several rocks from a tower that the shadow knocked down on the area Doreen just was.
When Gandalf returned his gaze to where she once stood, he only saw large lumps of stone and a brown shoe that stuck out from between two stones. It was Doreen's shoe. His heart clenched tightly. He had just gotten her back and now she was gone. Not only was it going to hurt him. It was going to hurt Selene too.
He promised her that she was still alive. He promised her that they would find her. When she finds out that her mother is really gone, she'd fall into a dark hole. Gandalf did not want that to happen. For, he feared that she would end up being the reckless and dangerous woman she once was.
"Tell Thorin that I loved him." Thráin said, tugging at the sleeve of his robe. It pulled his attention away from the spot where Doreen was smooshed her to death. "Will you do that?"
Gandalf gulped, he already lost one friend. He did not want to lose another. "You will tell him yourself!" He yelled, shielding his friend from the strong gusts of wind the shadow made.
"It is too late." Thráin spoke under his breath, before he was suddenly grabbed by the shadow's arm, and snatched into the darkness.
Gandalf couldn't believe it. Another friend of his was gone.
In order to save himself, he used his staff to form an enormous, bright ball against the shadow. He groaned every few seconds, watching the light slowly move the shadow away. It was no use. The shadow was stronger, and broke the ball of light.
Bright, orange flames appeared from the middle of the shadow. It slowly shifted into a human figure, walking toward the wizard.
Gandalf held his staff with both of his hands, trying to stop the creature from getting closer, but his staff turned into ashes from the smoke and flames. The arms grabbed the wizard and pinned him against the wall, letting the remaining pieces of the building crumble to the ground.
The flames overlapped each other as they revealed the black figure that stood right in the middle.
"Sauron."
The Necromancer finally revealed itself as Sauron.

Doreen ran. She ran as fast as her feet could go. She did not look back once.
Gandalf told her to run, and she did. She did not hesitate to leave. She luckily escaped from the fortress after the chunks of stone, barely missed her. A few did land on her right foot, in which, she cried out in pain. But thanks to how skinny she was, she managed to wedge her foot out from the rocks and limp her way out.
She wanted to get as far away from the orcs and Ally as possible. For so long, she was held captive by Azog, Nhel and Ally. Everyday, she feared for her life. She feared that they would kill her right then and there. Everyday.
Doreen wasn't sure how she was still living to this day. She wasn't sure why the orcs and the witch needed her around. But when the memory of Ally and Nhel mentioning a dragon and weakening it, she remembered how they also referred the dragon as a she.
Now, Doreen was not sure if there were other dragons still around. Not since her husband passed, but he was only half a dragon, after all. And of course, there was her daughter: Selene. Who took the ability to shift skins like her husband. So, could they have been talking about her? Her Selene?
If they were after her daughter, she would have to get to her first. Before they could.
With that, she pushed her thoughts away and continued running. All that mattered now was the fact that she was free, and she needed to find somewhere safe to hide and heal her broken foot. Then, she would go out and find her daughter.
omggg you guysss! selene's mama is alive and finally escaped from the orcs!
what do you guys think will happen next?
