Suddenly a slow song came on making Jayden instantly walk away from the dance floor. She watched as all her friends got together to dance. Lucas and Will with random girls while Dustin walked around to find someone to dance with. Mike sat there waiting for someone.
That someone being Eleven.
Jayden walked over to the boy patting his shoulder "She'll come. I know it." she smiled "Are you sure?How do you know? Mike asked. "Cause, look." She pointed to the entrance where a pretty Eleven stood looking around like a lost puppy.
Mike stood up hesitating to walk forward. "Go get 'em tiger." She said pushing the boy out to the dance floor so he could meet up with El halfway.
Now it was just her and Max. Jayden sat down beside the red head who smiled at her "Not a big fan of dances?" Max asked to which Jayden nodded "It's okay. Me nether."
"Here. Follow me." Jayden whispered grabbing the red head's hand and leading her out of the school walking towards the felid. "Lets star gaze." The brunette laughed before sitting down onto the ground and laying on her back. Max copied her movements. Jayden angled her head up, looking at the dark sky. "It's beautiful." Max whispered looking at the stars. "Yeah it is..." Jayden whispered turning her head to face Max.
She noticed Max's little freckles that kissed her face. And how her eyes sparkled. And how her nose scrunched a little. "You gonna keep staring, Jay?" Max laughed looking over at the girl turning her attention towards the brunette.
"Yeah. I will actually." Jayden said suddenly getting a burst of confidence. Max blushed putting her hands over her face.
Jayden slowly removed her hands from her face. "Remember how I said I liked you? On the bus." The younger Harrington mumbled taking a quick glance at the girls lips. "Yes. How could I not?" Max laughed "Right before you're brother went to fight those Demo-dog things."
The brunette nodding "Yes." Jayden laughed "But.. Do you also remember when you said you liked me?" She asked looking into the red heads eyes. "Yes I do." Max nodded.
"You know I wasn't lying." Jayden whispered sitting up, Max following her actions. "Me ether." Max said leaning forwards a bit. The two stared at each other. Jayden noticed the girls eye's again.
As blue ad the ocean.
"You're eyes look, like, really pretty under the moonlight." Jayden muttered out as the red head leaned forward more. "Oh shut it, Harrington." Max said before connecting the twos lips.
Jayden placed a hand on the red heads cheek fully leaning into the kiss. It was nice and quick, which she liked.
The two pulled away with smiles on their faces. "Oh, oh, my." Jayden smiled leaning her head on Max's shoulder. "I'm so red, don't look at me." The brunette mumbled making Max laugh.
"It's fine." Max mumbled lifting Jayden's head up off her shoulder. "I forgot to say you look dashing." Max said in a posh voice making Jayden laugh "No don't even start."
The two girls laughed more. They laughed so much their stomachs hurt. "I can not believe you just did that." The brunette mumbled placing a hand on her head "I can." Max replied pecking the girls cheek.
"You look amazing too, love." Jayden smiled "I'm literally wearing what I would wear on a normal day?" Max asked but Jayden just shrugged "Exactly. You look amazing everyday." Max pushed the girl away while laughing. "Oh, my God." She mumbled, flustered. This was both girls first kiss ever.
Silence fell around the two. They both desperately wanted to ask the same question but didn't have the guts to do it. But finally Max lost it and asked.
"Harrington, will you be my girlfriend?" She blurted out looking up at the girl.
Jayden looked back down at Max with the biggest smile on her face glad that the girl asked "Yes, Mayfield." she said leaning down giving the girl a peck on the lips. The two sat in silence just enjoying each other's presence before Jayden decided to break it "I thought you liked Lucas to be honest." she mumbled. Max laughed while shouting a chorus of 'no's' .
"And you say you're the smart one." Max mumbled looking up at her girlfriend.
"Oh don't even." Jayden laughed.
Little did the two girls know that the boys, and Eleven, saw the whole scene unfold. Smiles on their face the whole time.
"Well.. thats something." Lucas mumbled scratching his head. "Oh, shut it. You're just mad Max fell for her instead of you." Mike said to the boy who rolled his eyes.
"They.. are.. dating?" Eleven asked looking up at Mike who nodded "Like us?" she asked making the boy turn red. "Let's talk about that later..."
Will just watched with a smile. Deep down he had a feeling Jayden liked girls but he didn't wanna assume anything. But he was glad she had found someone.
Meanwhile Dustin was just ecstatic he had gotten to dance with Nancy. Nancy Wheeler and Dustin Henderson slow danced. He couldn't get it out of his mind.
But together they were all happy the girls had found each other. It was better for both of them.
Now they had someone they loved,
and someone that loved them.
