twelve, twenty one questions

He could practically hear her smile through the phone. "That's cute."

"I know I am." He teased before proceeding. "What's this about Cassie and Nate hooking up?"

As soon as he asked that, he felt her energy turn cold and angry. "What else do you want me to fucking say. It's self explanatory." She snapped. "Don't ask stupid fucking questions, Vincent."

After she finished speaking he paused. "You done?"

"The fuck is that supposed to mean?" Maddy sassed through the phone.

"That you're snapping at me when i did nothing." He stated nonchalantly. "Now are you okay?"

When he heard silence through the phone, he felt slightly scared, not knowing how'd she react. However when he heard sniffling his heart broke for her. He hated hearing her like that.

"I just feel so fucking violated. She was my best friend, she was the one person who i thought would always have my back and defend me. Not fucking betray me." The brunette ranted as she tried her best to mask her tears.

"You don't deserve any of this." He sighed, feeling only a part of her pain. "Why don't you realise how much you deserve and..." He cut himself off when he felt himself becoming more sappy.

Maddy giggled, noticing his abrupt stop mid sentence. "Cause you're not always around to reassure me," She teased. "Besides, you're the only person in the world I believe when you say." She half joked as he listened to the words flow out of her mouth.

"...That was like poetic as hell." He stated before the two laughed. "I'm glad you believe me anyways." He smiled, even though she couldn't see him.

Maddy then cringed when she realised what she said. "That sweet shit was so fucking disgusting."

Vinnie chuckled before pausing, thinking for a second. "Let's go out."

Maddy quirked an eyebrow, completely confused. "Go where?"

"Stop asking questions and just say yeah." The dirty blonde scoffed as he got ready to leave the house.

"Bitch, you could attempt to kill me for all I know." She defended herself with a shrug.

Vinnie hummed not really listening before he questioned her. "Do you have a helmet?"

"What why?" She became even more confused as era.

"Didn't I just tell you to stop asking questions." It was Vinnie's turn to raise an eyebrow.

"I don't care what you told me."

After a few minutes petty arguing with her, he arrived near her house and waited for her to sneak out, since it was getting incredibly late.

Once she got onto his bike, she held on for dear life and one short ride after freaking out, they arrived at a random park and started smoking some weed Vinnie bought with him.

"Why did you take me here?" Maddy questioned as the two rocked back and forth on the swings.

He blew a puff of smoke into the air. "I used to go here with Zac and it bought me comfort. Thought there's a chance it'd work with you." He shrugged, sending her a sheepish smile.

"You're so sweet it grosses me out sometimes." Maddy admits as she returns the smile. It was true, she wasn't used to seeing such kindness from a guy from her experience watching her parents to being with Nate. "Thank you for being my comfort person." She laced her hands with Vinnie's as they both sat on the separate swings.

"We should play 21 questions." Vinnie suggested with a smirk.

"That's such a fuck boy game." Maddy rolled her eyes as it was her turn to puff into the hair. "Fuck it, fine." She agreed.

"Where's your dream place to travel too?" He asked, starting off pretty simple.

"I don't know. I just wanna get the fuck out of this town. Maybe even run away." She shrugged, smiling slightly at the thought.

Vincent took this as a perfect opportunity to tease her. "Then you'd miss me too much."

"Then come with me." Maddy stated, looking at him with a look of hope and lust.

This caught the boy off guard. He didn't expect her to just upright say it like that. Then again it might've been the weed being the reason why she just said it.

Truth was, he would travel with Maddy. He was falling in love with her and he knew that for sure.

That was the thing about Vinnie and weed. It made him way more honest. Not just to other people but to himself too.

He finally came to terms with liking Maddy like a lot.

"First we'd travel around the states on my motorbike," He starts imagining as he gets off the swing. "Then drive around Mexico." He smirked as he held his hand out, to help her get off the swing. "Then sooner than we know it, we'll be on top of the world." He added, climbing onto of the circular climbing rope set.

The brunette giggled, joining him at the top of the rope set, feeling as if they were sitting on top of the  actual world.

"My question is, why the fuck do you have a motorcycle all of a sudden?" Maddy asks the million dollar question causing Vinnie to snicker and tell her that it was a forgiveness bribe after an argument.

Vinnie thought for a minute, thinking of what the next possible question he could ask would be. "Would you wanna like go out sometime?" He asked, letting out a sigh he didn't know he was holding in.

"Are you asking me out on a date?" Maddy questioned, looking at him in amusement.

"I guess I am." He nodded, scratching the back of his neck.

"I wouldn't like hate that." Maddy grinned bare teeth at the fact he finally asked her out. "Took your time."

"Shut up." Vinnie jokingly rolled his eyes before he felt the energy change again.

"Your mom mentioned Texas...What like happened?" She questioned hesitantly, not sure how he would feel about answering it.

Vinnie let out a deep sigh before he started to explain. "They said I pushed him off a building." He gulped, scared to how she would react to his answer.

"...Well did you?" She asked again but the dirty blonde shrugged it off, taking another puff of his blunt.

"You already asked your question for this round." He clears his throat before changing the subject. "Would now be a bad time to tell you, on your birthday Cassie tried to kiss me?"

The Abraham could've sworn he saw Maddy's eyes turn red as smoke flew out of her ears. "Why does that bitch want everything I fucking want?!"

The dirty blonde turned to face her and gave her an all too familiar smirk that she hated seeing. "You want me?"
