Running out of time

Part 20 - Secure, Contain, and Protect the world

Having passed few corridors I entered 682's containment chamber, which was far more spacious than before, mainly because I used my powers to increase its size, without affecting the rest of facility. Inside of the cell, all of my siblings were waiting for me. SCP-053, SCP-096, SCP-058, SCP-682, SCP-055 and of course, SCP-999. For safety reasons, we had to keep SCP-055 in a suitcase, as nobody except me was resistant to seeing her, and neither she wanted to be seen.

- I am glad you arrived guys, we have something to discuss.

- Let me guess, you want to overthrow our father and get rid of him? - 682 said while looking into my eyes.

- How did you... How did you know? - I asked shocked.

- He was whispering to me and ordering me, to destroy you, but frankly speaking, I am sick of this disgusting abomination, who calls himself our father. - He responded before looking away.

- Do we even have a plan for this? - 053 asked anxiously. - After all, neither of us is strong enough to defeat him alone.

- Who said we will be fighting alone? We will overthrow him together, and show him, that we don't need him to achieve great things.

- And if we fail? - Shy Guy responded with fear. - What if he is going to destroy, and turn us into what we used to be? Because I don't want to be cursed by him again.

- We are stronger than ever, and I already managed to weaken him three months ago, all alone. With you on my side, he won't stand a chance.

- Unless he calls his friends for help... In that case we will be screwed.

- I know him, he won't ask for help, or else his pride would be shattered.

- Fair points 682, but when, and how do we want to do it?

- Good question sister. Let me present to you my entire plan...

Dr Kondraki's POV:
Despite having a surprisingly peaceful world, our job wasn't done. After a mutual agreement from the entire O5 council, we organized a meeting between Foundation and other Groups of Interest, where we tried to make an agreement with all of them, and create one, global organization, which would take care of everything.

We weren't surprised when all of them said, that their goals have changed drastically after the 001 incident. It was completely normal, as it also affected us, and there was no chance to reverse it. Not because we couldn't, but because we didn't want to. This world was something, we could only dream about, until it became a reality, and we didn't want to break it. We knew something had to be done, negotiations continued for few days, and during this time, we managed to achieve a common agreement in one thing. We had to protect this world at any cost, we couldn't let this fall apart, and together, we had enough power to do it.

We also agreed, that SCPs shouldn't be imprisoned anymore, and just one year ago, O5 council wouldn't even consider this opportunity. But now, after we released most of them and nothing bad was happening thanks to 001's effects, we knew we made a good choice. This world wasn't the same as the previous one, it was different, but this difference wasn't anything bad, as it made everyone a better version of themselves.

At 27th October, we made a decision to merge all of our organizations into a Global Anomaly Research Organization, and our goal would be researching those objects, which we still contained, and use them for the greater good of humanity. This name was temporary, and sooner or later we had to change it, but for the next few months, it was adequate to our goal.

However, thanks to Olivia we knew we weren't safe. Scarlet King wanted to destroy this world and finish, what that machine was unable to do. Olivia was training with her siblings, and it was our job to help them, so without hesitation we sent our soldiers to accompany them, and at the right moment help with their mission.
