Jaune's life wasn't easy. The news of his fake transcripts made everyone turn on him. The people he thought he could trust abandoned him. His family disowned him. They either hurt him or turned a blind eye to his torment. Jaune was soon expelled. Ho...
Edge slowly moved towards her, but she noticed. Soon, she conjured a black sphere.
"You will learn your place," Salem said.
Suddenly, Point thrusts the guandao through her back and out of her chest.
"Ugh!" Salem shouted in pain.
Soon, the telekinesis was deactivated, and Edge landed safely on the ground. Then, Point spun Salem around and tossed her into the air. Knuckles jumped high into the air and punched Salem with great force, sending her skipping onto the ground until she slams into the wall.
The four scan the environment, focusing on the area filled with dust and smoke.
As the dust and smoke clear, Salem is shown to have regained herself.
"You show promising results."
Salem cracks her body. Soon, red glyphs appear under the four.
"I'll enjoy studying all of you."
Shadow hands sprout from the glyphs and grab the four. However, as the shadow hands tried to pull them down, they wouldn't budge. Salem was slightly taken back. There weren't many who could resist her shadow hands.
Soon, the four retaliated.
Knuckles began punching the ground, destroying the shadow hands at the root.
Edge sliced off the shadow hands.
Point disconnected the guandao's blade from the staff. Soon, Point began hacking off the shadow hands.
The fourth one took out a pair of pistols and fired at the shadow hands, obliterating them (A/N: Will refer to as Lead.).
Although intrigued by the Grimm's ability to use weapons, especially firearms, Salem still felt annoyed at how much these Grimm continued to resist her.
Lead aimed the pistols and began firing at Salem, obliterating large chunks of her. When she turned her attention to him, Point stabbed her in the chest. Lifting her, he threw her to Edge, who cut her in half.
When Salem reformed, Knuckles grabbed her and threw her in the air. Lead aimed his pistols and fired at her, emptying his clips into her. What remained of her fell to the floor.
Salem reformed again. Her expression was that of anger and annoyance. She decided to stop playing around.
Soon, the four began to glow purple as they are suspended in the air. They are brought to Salem hovering around her.
"Not so tough now," Salem said to them.
Salem looked at the four. Knuckles, Point, Edge, and Lead still gripped their weapons. She was going to study them and find out what made them tick.
Suddenly, six canisters roll to her feet.
In an instant, they go off, surrounding the area in a purple mist.
Salem starts to breathe in the gas, becoming dizzy. Her telekinesis soon deactivates, releasing the four. She tries to get away, but the gas is too strong. Eventually, she falls to the ground. Before losing consciousness, she looks up and sees a blurry figure.
Darkness clouded her as she fell asleep.
[At the Spider's Den]
Lil' Miss Malachite was enjoying her sundae. Suddenly, she gets a notification from her scroll on the table. She picks it up and opens the message.
She gives a smile.
"He'll be happy to hear this," She thought.
[At an Unknown Location]
Roma was in a classy bedroom, typing on a scrolltop.
"Antiques with interesting myths and lores? I wonder what goes through Mr. Mercer's mind," Roma thought.
[At Junior's Club]
Junior was cleaning glasses at the bar.
Soon, the doors to the club open, and a man walks in. He had white hair and wore black sunglasses and a black suit.
"Sorry pal. We're not open yet," Junior said.
"Apologies. I'm not here for a drink," the man said.
The man took out an envelope from his jacket and placed it on the bar counter.
"Have a nice day," The man said.
Junior watched as the man left the bar. He looked at the envelope.
What was the most notable was the Arc Emblem on the front of it.
[At Evernight Castle]
Jaune was seen in the conference room. He was sitting in Salem's chair.
The sound of footsteps could be heard throughout the castle.
He puts his hand out and lightning begins to spark from it.
