Ayana and I walked out of our room at noon, after the chaotic moment we wanted to have our little moment a bit longer.
"I'll go make some food for us. Take it easy today?" Ayana said with that amazing smile of hers.
I nodded my head and gave her a quick kiss, watching her as she left me standing in the hallway alone in my thoughts.
My heart thumped on my chest as I dived deeper and deeper into my thoughts, my mind swimming with all the possibilites on what could have happened this morning, how could she know so much already.
In my search for Freya and her coffin I made sure I was careful enough.
I made sure not to be obvious and not to leave any noticable marks or hints behind.
If she knew about my trips in search of my daughter, what else did she know?
Just how much did she know?
What a mess.
"Father!" I snapped back to the real world and felt somebody shake my body by my shoulders.
I blinked a few times and looked at the at the same time narrowed and widened eyes of Kol.
"Thank earth, for a moment I thought you were goner." He said with a small breath of relief.
"I am sorry, I got lost in thought. What do you mean?" I added to the end with a huff.
Kol looked at me for a long time. "Did you hit your head this morning or something? You have literally stood there for like 20 minutes just staring forward. Heck, I thought about doing an exorcism the way you just stared ahead."
I shook my head and licked my lips in confusion, but couldn't help the chuckle that left my lips.
"Okay cool, now that I have my father back from the wonderland, food." Kol said and grinned, pushing me towards the stairs.
I rolled my eyes and with a small smirk stopped walking, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Oof." Kol let out a muffeled sound as he crashed into my back.
"Hey." He muttered as he stepped back and frowned. I kept my eyes foward in fear of laughing as I heard him huff.
"Move." Kol trailed out the word and pushed my back with the palm of his hands, slowly sliding backwards the more he put strength behind the push.
Without much success moving me from my spot Kol decided to change tactics.
I felt him start to push me with his shoulder and side, putting a lot of force into it and walking in place as his socks slided on the floor.
I kept my smile in tact as it lead to nowhere. He couldn't move me.
"What on earth are you doing?" I heard Rebekah ask from behind us and I let a smile rise on my face.
"Shh Sister, I'm focusing." Kol huffed out slightly out of breath and continued his task.
Rebekah rolled her eyes and looked at me. "How can he be older than me?"
I let out a chuckle and stepped out of Kol's way, catching him by his biceps right before he hit the ground.
I helped him stand up straight and struggled not to laugh or smile at the look on his face, clearly not believing that he lost, even with his vampire abilities.
I had my own small secrets.
Both Rebekah and I watched Kol leave muttering under his breath before glancing at each other and chuckling.
