~Chapter 9 : Sails Away~

Carter : I appreciate the offer, but I can't, this is where I live, It be not fair for me to leave the ocean, it's where I belong, spending time with new friends is all I needed, and you all certainly gave me one surprising day, I do hope you all have a safe trip home, take care all of you.

He said, and waves at them before diving down into the water, he swims away out into the ocean, leaving all of them to stare as the siren demon leaves far away to the purple blue waves. all of them seem to be a little down that another friend we've met today is gone, but they understand his wish, and all had to go without him, but, they have some feeling whenever they come back to the Envy Ring, they'll maybe see this siren again, but for now, they must flee.

Hours passed, and after all the rough waves they've had to sail through, they slept through the tiring long hours as Candy follows the trails back to their homeland. Soon, the ship sails down the waves, and eventually manage to make it back to the Pride Ring, Candy sees the usual red glow of the city, and she signals everyone on the ship to wake up for their arrival.

The Imp woke up to Candy's call, and the ship travels towards the dock, it stops when the Imps jump down to the wooden dock floor, Candy watches as they were exiting out of the ship, the Imps looked up to the pirate.

Blitzo : Thanks for getting us home, we owe you one.

Candy : No a problem mateys! I'm always grateful to be assist local friends back home safe, and service for ones that are in need most.

She bows to them, and brings up a gentle smirk.

Moxxie : You sure you don't want to stay in for tonight, I mean, it is quite dangerous out there, given to how today went, it's probably not a good idea to be traveling into this condition.

Candy : Don't worry lad, I'm sure I'll be fine, I just have little wounds to heal before having to fight again, I'm still made with stone after all, and that's all there is.

Blitzo : Clearly, anyways, we better get moving, and please do take care of yourself, you're gonna need it.

The Imps were about to leave, Candy waves goodbye to them, but, as she stared at the three of them, she started to have a little ache feeling of worry, as the gentle cold breeze brows, she thinks to herself about her, and today. Without anything to block her choice, she then jumps back the ship to stop them.

Candy : Wait a moment!

The Imps paused their tracks as they turned to her.

Candy : I..Uhh..On second thought, I do believe a good rest of someone else's place is..A Better solution, do you mind if..I can stay for tonight?

The Imps looked at each other and thought about it for a bit, then turning their head back over to her and smiled.

Millie : Of course! We have a place for ya! You can settle with us until morning, or whenever you like.

Blitzo : Yeah, Mills will make some hot cocoa, and we can watch something too, anything you need, it's on the house!

Candy smiles, fixing up her hat as she follows them.

Candy : I'd like that, let's get going before we get too chilly out in the open.

And with that, all four of them leave the beach dock, snow started to fall down from the cloudy sky, they walked down the streets, heading back home on this cold night, this was a really long day for them, and one that Candy will sure never forget, She's thankful that her life is stable again, she hopes for the best that things with her will still be the same, after all that happened to her, it was also nice to have the only real friends to lend her to stay for the night too, friends she had never had in her whole life. Candy does also think of what happens next, she didn't know what other things might happen, but she didn't care about the future consequences that'll come to her, she's just happy to be alive.
