Chapter 15: Toughening Your Fangs!

Eventually, Jaune delivers a downward strike, only for Adam to block with both his swords. Adam struggles under Jaune's attack. Suddenly, Jaune takes another katana handle from his jacket. He creates an aura blade and slashes Adam across his chest.

"Ugh!" Adam groaned in pain.

Taking advantage of his pain, Jaune slashes at Adam's body, mostly his arms and legs. Eventually, Jaune stops the slashing after sensing how low Adam's aura was getting. He finishes up with an aura-infused kick, that shatters Adam's aura and sends him to the ground.

Jaune deactivates his aura blades and puts his katana handles away.

Adam stands back up and dusts the dirt off his jacket.

"Good work. Next time, I won't hold back so much," Jaune said.

Adam nodded in understanding.

Jaune walks over to Adam and puts his hand on his shoulder. Jaune's hand glows gold. Soon, Adam glows red with his aura.

For a while now, Jaune has been training with and aura-amping the Taurus twins. He's been doing the same with the Malachite Twins, Junior, Lil'Miss Malachite, and some of her subordinates.

Jaune stops aura-amping Adam and goes back to his duffel bag.

Now. While Eve trusted Jaune, Adam was still warming up to him. Despite saving him, Adam still held some resentment toward what humans did to him and his loved ones.

Jaune returns and hands Adam a bottle of water.

Adam cracks a smile. He happily takes the bottle of water and takes sips.

Still, that act of saving him gave Adam some respect and trust towards Jaune. Also, it started to help Adam learn to trust humans again. It helped even more that Jaune was able to heal Adam's eye.

During his first time training with Adam, Jaune noticed how Adam would be defenseless without his sword. So, Jaune was guiding Adam into carrying a spare sword as well as helping him learn Nitōryū as well as a few other fighting styles.

Now given Jaune's background, Adam was skeptical, but seeing how Jaune got stronger in such a short amount of time and killed two powerful huntsmen made him more accepting of Jaune's advice.

Jaune packed up the weapons and put them away. 

"I'm going to head out. You coming?" Jaune asked.

Adam shook his head.

"I'd like to get some solo training in," Adam said.

Jaune nods his head in acceptance.

"Alright. I'll see you later. Be sure to call your sister," Jaune said.

Adam nodded in understanding.

Jaune walked out of the junkyard and went to a motorcycle that was parked nearby. He started it up and put on his helmet. Soon, he drove away, heading to a different location.

Alone in the junkyard, Adam sat down and takes out his scroll. After unlocking it, he finds the video Jaune sent him.

Truth be told, Adam asked how Jaune got strong in such a short time. Now, Jaune and Eve knew why and were hesitant to tell Adam. Both were worried about how the process may affect him, just as it affected Jaune.

Still, they didn't want to leave him in the dark. Plus, they both knew how Adam hated being powerless to protect anyone, especially since he had several scores to settle. Taking a chance, they told Adam everything that happened to Jaune in the Land of Darkness as well as afterward.
