" SHHHHHH!" Could be heard from Madame Sylvester. The near death encounter we almost had with her sent us into another fit of giggles. Within a minute we had been thrown out of the library, satchels tossed to us.
" Well what now?" Mae asked as we stood still in the hallway just outside the doors.
I looked at her with a mischievous glint, and as if we had twin telepathy, she read my mind instantly.
" Race you there, three, two, GO!" I shouted as I shot off down the hallway leaving a complaining Mae and confused boys to chase after me.
Running through the less dense, weekend hallways of Hogwarts was freeing. It felt even better once I burst out the doors and gracefully galloped my way down hill to the black lake. It being early September, it was just warm enough for a swim.
Once I got there I began to throw off my clothes, Mae joining, and the pair of us were quickly in nothing but our undergarments. Over the hill we caught sight of the boys as they emerged, who looked at us like we were crazy. We just laughed and joined hands, running into the water.
Killian and Ji turned to look at each other, before breaking out grins and running down the hillside to join our impromptu lake day. Raidon continued to trek his way down the hill with a slight roll of his eyes at our playful childishness.
Shortly after Killian's shirt was off I saw Mae staring as I tried not to giggle. Being the captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team, he was obviously fit, six pack and all, I didn't blame Mae for staring, but Killian was more of a brother to me.
Both Killian and Ji got in the water as we started splashing around, shivering from the cool temperatures. The four of us turned back to shore to scold Raidon, and he shortly caved beginning to slip off his clothes.
I won't admit it but I was surprised to find Raidon had a six pack as well. Despite not playing quidditch, the schools only sport ( unless doing your homework as it's being collected counts), he was well toned. My thoughts randomly flipped to the guess that it was a result of having to carry most of us back from parties last year. I laughed at the thought before turning to splash Ji.
At one point Killian snuck under me in the water and before I knew it I was on his shoulders as he rose up. I laughed and put my hands on his head for balance.
Raidon and Mae ended up teaming up and Ji was the referee as Mae and I fought to push each other and respective partners into the water. Killian and I came out on top.
Swept up in the fun it was suddenly sunset. Getting out of the water we jumped around as weak attempts to dry off. Raidon, Ji, and Mae went all in and threw on all their clothes, which got soaked. I decided to just throw on my denim shorts and hooked my shirt over my shoulder, Killian put on his shorts and opted to carry his shirt, but wear his jacket.
We made our way back into the castle carefully as we realized we were out past curfew. I couldn't imagine the look on a prefects face if they caught us right now like this, Merlin, Killian and I weren't even wearing shirts.
We rounded the corners with stealth and crept along the shadows. Ji had branched off to the Ravenclaw common room so he was back safely. As we neared the Gryffindor common room, I told Raidon and Killian I wanted to walk Mae back to the Slytherin dungeons. Better safe then sorry. With hesitation they agreed.
We set off, being as quiet as possible as to not alert any prefects or looming teachers patrolling. I sighed in relief as we approached the final turn to the dungeons. Suddenly Mae's eyes widened as she pulled me back enough so I was covered by the wall. I looked at her confused as she tried to mouth an explanation, though I didn't understand.
