Ep 42.5 - Central (pt 2)

Oh.

It didn't even take two seconds for Sasuke to completely deduce the whole situation.

Danzo had an eye.

An eye that should not be in his skull.

A wave of molten-hot anger bubbled up from his guts and his vision turned red. His vision sharpened and he could feel a wave of lightning chakra build upon his hands as he conjured another Chidori.

With this one attack, he severed Danzo's arm from his body and a black flame burned to life at the stump.

Sasuke didn't allow him a single moment for Danzo to catch his breath and went in for another fast attack. The lightning's power amped up and it felt as if the air itself became electrically charged.

He could feel himself penetrate the elder's chest with his Chidori. A small glimmer of satisfaction started to grow steadily. That feeling immediately vanished as the man disappeared in the blink of an eye as if he was never in front of Sasuke. The ravenette stumbled forward slightly in surprise. He didn't have enough time to react to the blow that came up behind him.

Sasuke was slammed to the ground and his vision darkened for a second but he regained his bearings quickly and stood up, stance ready.

He found Naruto standing over him with an outstretched hand. The elder had a hand gripped on his right shoulder, where the stump of an arm and the black flame still burned. His eye held contempt and frustration, supposedly seeing that he had nowhere else to run. It didn't take even a second after Sasuke got back on his feet for Naruto to charge forward again.

Danzo seemed to have lost a lot of his chakra and was weaker. Naruto disappeared a foot away from the elder, and if not for the Sharingan activated, he wouldn't have seen Naruto almost teleport behind the other and landed a blow that sent Danzo flying toward Sasuke.

Seeing the elder's back flying towards him, the ravenette rushed forward, katana ready, and ran the older man clean through the chest.

Danzo let out a cough at being impaled with a katana, and his breathing became ragged as Sasuke dug the sword further into his back.

"You really should have put more thought into attacking us at all," Sasuke said. His eyes were cold and sharp, glaring at the man he had run through.

Black symbols started to appear on Danzo's body. Naruto's eyes widened.

The elder let out a deranged chuckle. "Don't think you have defeated me so easily." he gasped.

Sasuke's narrowed his gaze, "Believe me, I didn't."

"Sasuke! I think that's a self-destruction bomb!" The blonde shouted.

Sasuke gripped his sword tighter and started channeling his chakra through the blade.

Under his breath, he whispered. "Chidori stream."

The electrical current exploded all around Sasuke and Danzo's body convulsed as the lightning crackled and electrocuted the elder with its sheer heat and power. It was so instantaneous, no sound of discomfort came from the older man as his body fell limp.

Sasuke felt no remorse as he pulled out his sword in one movement as he watched the lifeless body flop to the ground, dark marks receding.

"You got off easy," Sasuke muttered. He could feel the last lingering traces of chakra in the man's system flicker out of existence, which meant that the elder surely and truly was dead. Good riddance.

Naruto strode over and placed a hand on Sasuke's shoulder. "Let's go back to the mountain."

Sasuke didn't give the corpse another glance. "Yeah, let's."

The two figures disappeared from the scene in a flash.

So, I may or may not have written a 2500 chapter and accidentally post the first and second half in different parts? Um, this update is chapter 42 as well. Why? It's just my hands being dumb and me being dumb and my internet being dumb ok.

Well, I guess EP 42 counts as 2 chapters now??
