Granny Li was Granny Shen's sister. They were both from the Li family but Granny Li was more favored than Granny Shen who was birthed from the first wife. Their father who knew nothing but pleasure favored his newly married wife and forgot about his first daughter from his deceased wife, Li Yin Yinqin.
When his second wife gave birth to his second daughter, Li Huiqing, Li Yin Yin Yinqin's life became harder. Though her life was hard she still survived and eventually grew old enough to marry. She was happy about marrying and thought of it as her only hope to escape, but she was wrong.
After she married Shen Mao Bojing and gave birth to her only son, Shen Yan Qiao her life became even more miserable. Her half-sister now had something to threaten her with. Li Yin Yinqin wanted her family safe so she accepted all humiliation and hardships.
While living her difficult life, she met the newly separated Father Jiang. Father Jiang separated from his family and was vulnerable with a pregnant wife. She felt sorry for them and took care of them for more than ten years. After Father Jiang was stable he wanted to repay Granny Shen, but she refused them because she didn't want them to get implicated with her.
The Jiang family never forgot the kindness Granny Shen showed and were excited to finally repay her, in addition to that, Granny Shen was like the mother they never had, so they were more than happy to help her.
"You do know my grandson passed the exam right?" Granny Li said as she smiled sinisterly. Those words drained the color from Granny Shen's face. She looked at the Jiang family with sorry eyes, she really didn't want to drag them down.
"And you do know I can get both you and your family in jail in a matter of minutes right?" A voice said coldly. Both the Jiang family and Granny Li turned to look who spoke, only to see Tang Shushui standing there with a cold look on his face.
"Don't pay attention to that crazy old lady Granny Shen, we should go now before the food gets cold." Tang Shushui said softly as he went over to support Granny Shen. His voice sounded nothing like the cold voice he spoke earlier.
The family followed Tang Shushuis's lead and made way for the Jiang family's house. Shen Yuan Fang's wife, Xiang Ai was the most excited in the family. Finally, her baby could be safe and fed. She had an eight-month child, but he was so malnourished that he looked like he was only five months old, plus she had a child on the way, so this meant a lot for her.
When the family arrived at the Jiang family's house they were shocked to see such a big house. They heard about it but they never thought it was this big. They were even more shocked when they saw the interior.
Haohao gave them all three sets of clothes, and two sets of shoes, and then led them to the shower. After showering and cleaning up Tang Shushui brought them to the dining room and sat them down to eat.
The Shen family was shocked to see the feast. They have never seen so much food, not to mention meat, there was even wine on the table, with fresh-squeezed berry juice. They were hesitant to eat but Tang Shushui encouraged them and they finally relaxed and took some bites. Tang Shushui was very considerate and cooked porridge filled with milk for the baby. That night the Jiang family had a magnificent dinner, and everyone had a good night's rest.
