After placing the cycle in the shop for the mechanic to look at, the Jay and the other guard dragged the rider through camp to the main headquarters.
They walk through the dirt paths, with only the lamp light on both side to guide them. The buildings around them are dark and dreary. All of them are either made of Medone, Brick, or a mixture of clay & sand from the desert of Jericho. As they walk a pair of eyes from one of the buildings peek through a window. There is a faint grunt before a man emerges from the building.
He is a very thin man, he is not pretty tall. His brown hair is a mess, though he tries his best to straighten it out with his fingers. His bright blue eyes are full of frustration and a bit of anger. He hugs his jacket he wears tightly as he hurried to caught up with the men.
As they drag the rider another the man follows behind them. He sighs as he looks from the rider to Jay. He is very disappointed at Jay for slipping, again. The rider merely wanted to discuss peace, but look at what it's turned into. The man takes his fingers and rubs his temples. He is so frustrated, will Jay ever learn? He already know that answer, no.
"Jay, David." The man said quietly to Jay and the other guard. "Ryan, I don't want to hear any of it." Jay said without hesitation, he is already predicting what Ryan will say. For Ryan always says the same thing. David kept walking, ignoring Jay and Ryan's little argument. As they all kept walking, as everyone else in the camp begins to wake for another day.
"Jay you know we don't capture people. I don't think Michael will like this, not one bit." Ryan said as he put his hands together all the while he looks at the rider. Ryan feels no sympathy for him, though he knows what is right. He knows this is not right.
"You don't know what Michael likes and what he doesn't." Jay scowls as they began to approach the door to Headquarters. "If I may have a say-" David begins but is immediately is silenced by both Jay and Ryan. "David you have no business in these matters." Ryan hushes as he keeps on with his argument. Jay just glares at David.
With that David takes off the cloth covering his face. His curly brown hair is a bit grimy from the conditions he lives in, though he is just a bit taller than both Ryan and Jay. He has brighter eyes than Ryan , though he is much younger. David is a young man, no older than 20. He had recently just been recruited after having his mother 'disappear' in one of the LIGHT conquests. He is very smart, though only one person truly sees his potential.
"Michael is still probably asleep, do you think he wants to be bothered by this?" Ryan argues as he begins to shake his head. Neither man was budging on their opinion. David looks from Jay to Ryan, and back again. He then drops the rider for a second rushing to Headquarters door, that was now right in front of them. As David let go Ryan took his place.
Headquarters was the largest building in the camp. It was made from brick, except for the part where Michael slept, that was made of Medone. It consisted of a 'panic room', a 'situation room', Michael's room, a large storage room, a empty extra room, and the entry room. All of the rooms were connected by a long and narrow hallway.
As David dealt with the door, Ryan and Jay kept on with their argument. "This is not about Michael is it? It's about Penelope, right?" Jay began to accuse as he picked up the rider higher. Ryan grunted as he too picked up the rider higher. "No this is not about her." Ryan snorted, though truly Ryan knew it was.
He thought about back to about two weeks ago before this camp was made. Back when Michael was seen as a political who stayed in hotels, while the rebels would hide in the streets or in abandoned homes.
That changed after another one of LIGHT's conquests. That night 60 people disappeared from their homes, their beds. Penelope included.
David lightly pushed the door open, walking into the room. Ryan and Jay followed holding the rider. The room was rather large, though it's simple furniture helped make it appear larger. It only held a beaten up red chair, a small table that held nothing more than a radio, and a brown nearly broken wooden chair. Simple, straight forward, and easy just as Michael liked it.
