Bakugo watched as Ryuka stood up from the bench, walking directly towards him, probably because he called out for her.

He would confront her now, tell her that his Quirk was a thousand times better than hers. That she shouldn't even think for one second that she could be better than him. That he was better.

The boy opened his mouth, ready to speak as Ryuka was only a meter before him, but just then, his eyes went wide.

She wasn't even looking at him, she was looking at the book in her hands. And then, she walked past him, their shoulders only inches apart.

Bakugo was once again left speechless. How dare she ignore him? He turned around abruptly. "HEY! TANAKA!" He yelled, making the girl now stop and turn her head slightly, her bored eyes catching Bakugo's angry one's.

She only hummed lightly. And just like that, Bakugo didn't know what to say anymore.

"...J-Just...stay out of my way, got it?! I got a better Quirk than you anyway!" He shouted, a smirk forming on his lips. Ryuka only raised an eyebrow at the boy, looking a bit confused.

"That's good for you....uhm...forgot your name sorry. Anyway, I really gotta pee so..." She trailed off, turning her head again and continuing her way inside the school building.

That. was. it. Bakugo's brain went blank.

How could she dare to forget his name, or did she not even care for his cool Quirk? She wasn't impressed by him at all, not even a little bit. "Is she...is she not taking me seriously...?"

That was unacceptable.

Since that day, Bakugo had one goal in mind, making Ryuka Tanaka realize that he is better than her.

He would train more to be better than her in sports. He would learn more for school to get better grades. And he would start reading books to get better than her at reading.

They were in fifth grade now and they were in the same class. Bakugo was currently sitting in class, in one of the front rows, while Ryuka was sitting in the back.

"Now listen well, this is very important for the upcoming test.." Their teacher announced, beginning to explain something on the board.

Bakugo looked back, seeing Ryuka leaned back in her seat, her feet on the table.

She was asleep.

The blond boy only smirked, pleased that she would sleep through this important lesson. There was no way she could beat him in this test.

"Here are your tests back, most of you did well, keep up." The teacher said, beginning to give them the tests back.

Bakugo grabbed his test from the teachers hands almost aggressively, his face turning proud as he looked at the paper. A wide grin spreading across his face. 95/100 points.

He turned his body to Ryuka, holding up his paper to show her the points with a proud face. She looked uninterested at first. But then, she smirked cockily, holding up her own paper to show Bakugo her points.

98/100 points.

Bakugo blew up his test.
