The stories of the Tsugikuni Twins were passed down onto generations of the Demon Slayer Corp. The twins have died long ago but what they didn't expect was for the sword belonging to Tsugikuni Yoriichi to turn red once again.

"Do you regret becoming a demon? If you do, then I'll help you," said Michikatsu.
"Regret? Help? It's too late for either of those!" shouted Hizu, stopping his attack. "Look, do you think this is someone worth saving?" endless tears spilled from Hizu's eyes, as half of his body formed into Yuta's, Yuta's head falling limp.
"You- you consumed Yuta to become a full demon again didn't you?" Michikatsu and Yoriichi's eyes shook.
"You're correct. I convinced Yuta to become a demon. I killed Yuta for my own benefit. Do you still want to save me?" tears rolled down Hizu's face as a psychotic smile formed.
"Yes. I still want to save you. Please Hizu, please at least die a human," pleaded Michikatsu.
"A human. You wanted to die as a human too didn't you? Fine then," Hizu took out the bottle Michikatsu had gave him, "let's die as humans together!" he shoved some of the blood in Michikatsu's mouth before drinking some himself.
"Yeah, let's die right here, right now," smiled Michikatsu even though he felt pain surging through his body.
"Michikatsu!" Yoriichi tried to reach out towards his brother but it was too late.
Both Hizu and Michikatsu had stabbed the other person.
"This is really our finale battle," Michikatsu sadly smiled.
"Yeah... it really is. Sometimes I wonder, if you ever felt any regret or hesitation leaving me behind before," said Hizu.
"You idiot. There's no such thing as regret in death, just darkness," chuckled Michikatsu. "Hizu...?" no reply, Hizu had already died.
"Why did you do that?! Are you that happy dying?! Do you want to leave me behind that much?!" Yoriichi shouted, grabbing Michikatsu's hand.
"That was how Hizu felt before. This is the same situation except a bit different. Last time you died first, now Hizu's dead. I was slowly dying, and I am now. Hizu was left behind, just like you right now," Michikatsu said with tears in his eyes.
"Why...?" Yoriichi started tearing up.
"A curse. It's a curse Yoriichi and death is the payment," Yoriichi recognised the words that Michikatsu spoke.
"You-!"
"I don't want you to die. I'm sorry," Michikatsu closed his eyes.
'Cold. Michikatsu's hands are cold,' Yoriichi let go of his dead brother's hand. Lifting up his brother's body, he carried his body until they made it outside.
Soon, the alive slayers that were in the infinity fortress and Muzan had come out.
"Yoriichi-niisan where's-......what?" Tanjiro stared at the dead body of Michikatsu.
"Keep his body safe," Yoriichi placed Michikatsu's dead body against a wall.
"Oh? It seems like he decided to self destruct with Hizu. I was going to make him work for me but it's too bad I guess-" in a second, Muzan's head was cut off.
"Shut your godd*mn mouth," Yoriichi glared.

The older Yoriichi, was back.
"Breath of the sun: Thirteenth form," Yoriichi used the techniwue that was specifically deigned to kill Muzan.
He rushed towards Muzan, activating his transparent world to destroy Muzan's hearts with the thirteenth form.
"This time, I win, Kibutsuji Muzan," Yoriichi said with an emotionless voice and neutral expression but the tears streaming down his face showed his true emotion.
The soon came up after Muzan's death. It was over. All of it was over.

There Yoriichi was, standing in front of the grave of his dead twin brother. Placing flowers at the grave, his stared the gravestone, devoid of any emotion.
"Let's reincarnate as brothers in another life again, Michikatsu."

Explanation for the the chapter 'The end is coming'.
If you saw the chapter, you'd notice 'The end' is in apostrophes while 'is near' is not: 'The end' is coming. The 'The end' is actually for this chapter which is named 'The end' and 'is near' simply means that it is going to be out soon (it's out today). The clue that I left for the end chapter was 'the angel number: hope encouragement, love' which tells you the chapter number that the ending will be out (not the amount in total but the actual numbered ones meaning not including special chapters and announcements). The number '60' is known as 'the angel number' which represents 'hope, encouragement and love'. If you put all of that together, it means that the ending is coming soon and the chapter is chapter 60 (this chapter).
