"What's this?" She pointed at the two cans he'd been holding in his hands as she returned in her casual clothes.

"Umm..cold coffee."

"Tum do cup piyoge!! It's high in calories."

"Aa ... one's for you."

"Phir toh dono cup tum hi pilo beacause I hate coffee. And coffee with milk is a big no from my side."

"Are you for real. You don't drink coffee!"

"Hmhm."

"Yaar...mai dono nahi pee sakta..have one na."

"Just told you. No."

"Tumhe bilkul sharam nahi aati..I thought you must be thirsty so I should take something for you and you are declining on my face."

"I didn't asked you to."

"It's useless talking to you."

"Then why do you do?"

"Fine ab nahi karunga. Ab chalo I'm getting late."

"Toh mai bhi der nahi kar rahi hu. Bill tumhe pay karna. Remember?"

"I know."
Huffing loudly, he put the cans a little harshly on the counter and then moved to the billing counter while Aarohi gave the dress for the packing to the person behind the counter.

As she waited for Neil to return, she noticed that Neil had left both the cans on the counter itself where she had been standing.
As she observed them closely, she read what had been written on those cans.

'Dr. Chipkali' on hers and 'Neil Birla' on the other.
But this time that Chipkali word made her smile and that smile was unknown to her as well.

"Umm..Excuse me..can I get a pen please?" Aarohi asked to one of the employees working there and quickly engraved something on one of the cans before Neil could return.

"Chalo ab." As soon as he returned, he declared giving her a cold stare while she looked at him surprisingly as she had not seen Neil this way before. She had always seen a happy go lucky and Neil-who-loves-fighting-with-Aarohi-aka-Chipkali.

"Your coffee. Although now it must be hot coffee but still bearable."
She forwarded the can towards him as he ignited the engine and moved the car out of the parking area only to be supplied with a stern glare from his side.

"I don't want. Dump it."

"Oh hello... Chamgadar. Ab de rahi hu toh chupchap pilo na. Itne nakhre kyu dikha rahe ho?"

"Didn't you did the same?"

Aarohi nodded bringing her can to her mouth and took a sip out of it making Neil widen his eyes at her action. "It's still cold. Wow."

"You said you hated coffee."

"I still do. But since you took me for shopping, I'd have valued your efforts. So." She casually shrugged but her this small gesture brought the widest smile on the face of our boy and he happily took the can from her hand this time and drank from it.

With the corner of his eyes, he saw Aarohi making some troubled faces as she took small sips of her drink but the thing that earned his attention was that she still continued drinking the coffee even though she hated doing that right now.
His heart fluttered as she made those crinky faces but the smile playing on his lips never left it's place.

"Haa bhai." Neil picked up the phone, taking it to his ears as he answered it.

"Yes sir. Your package has been delivered very soundly and safely. Anything else sir?" He teased Abhi as his brother was that much in love that he so desperately needed to know if his fiancee recieved the gift he sent for her or not.

"Mai...umm drive kar raha hu.." Neil's answer sounded more like question to himself as well.
"Aapki saali ke saath hu..."

"Haa mujhe pata hai. Aur itni bhi buri nahi hai woh."
"Ok bye."

"Mere baare me baate ho rahi thi." Giving him a forced smile, Aarohi stated as she was sure it would have been related to her only and his brother would have been giving instructions to Neil on how to be safe around her.

"Itni bhi buri nahi hai woh ...book jo bhai ne mujhe di thi padhne ke liye." Neil somehow tried to get this conversation off topic but they both knew the truth so whom had he been fooling.

So one more time, the few good moments between them were sabotaged by the inter-family silent wars and silence surrounded them for another time.

There was so much wrong in their lives and there was so much to fix as well. Go with the flow is what they opted for in their minds but the rhythm of next few weeks of theirs was a zigzag on the graph and the they were still at the starting point.

Uff !! Someone go and push them to make some progress!
