Peter looked at the other and smiled putting his hand on the other's that was on the gear stick. "Thank you, Wade."

They eventually reached the other's apartment when they went in Peter immediately slumped down on the couch taking a deep breath. Wade sat down next to him.

Peter put his head in the other's lap. "Can you just ramble about some things like always?"

"Sure." Wade happily obligated and started talking letting his hands run through the other's hair while he closed his eyes and smiled. After a while, he concluded his rant. "So like knowing that dolphins rape other fish and swim into ship motors to commit suicide makes Flipper seem a lot weirder."

Peter chuckled and enjoyed the calmness. He loved hearing the other's thoughts. It was oddly soothing and made his own thoughts shut up. He reached up to him and pulled him down into a soft gentle but needed kiss.

"Damn you look really fucking hot."

"I look like a mess."

"That's the best way of looking." Wade pulled Peter up in his lap and gently kissed his black eye. "I'm crazy for you." He then kissed him again more passionately.

Peter smiled at him. He felt safe. It was weird he never thought someone could make him feel so at home. "Let's go on a date tomorrow."

"A date?"

"Sorry, too weird I just thought-"

"Nah, that sounds nice baby boy." Wade smiled. He has never been the date kind but oh he could be. He would take the other on the greatest dates of his life.

"Sweet." Peter leaned against him his head against his shoulder.

They sat like that for a while, Peter playing with the strings of Wade's hoodie. Eventually going to bed. Wade dozed off pretty quickly having been worrying about the other all night. Peter on the other hand was plagued by everything that happened and just cuddled closer to him. Nothing was fine but it would be he wasn't alone. He was staring at the ceiling for a good hour.

Not being able to fall asleep he went and took a cold shower definitely needing one. The water drizzled on his body as his thoughts went wild. Afterward, he put on one of Wade's hoodies and went back to bed seeing Wade have a night terror. He climbed into bed and tried to soothe him. Since living with him he had gotten used to them. He softly spoke words of reassurance. Normally he would have calmed down by now but he just shot up shaking.

Peter pulled him into a hug. "Hey, it's okay you're awake. You're safe."

Wade took a moment to orient himself before looking at the other. "Sorry, did I wake you?"

"It's okay, I couldn't sleep anyway." Peter gave him a kiss on the head. "You wanna go for a walk? Clear that head of yours."

"That sounds nice. Are you okay though?"

"No, but I will be." Peter got up. "Come on." He put on some of Wade's jogging pants and stretched out his hand towards the other.

Wade took his hand and got up putting on some pants himself. They put on some shoes and Wade forced Peter to put on one of his winter jackets. He grabbed a beanie putting it over the other's ears before grabbing his hand and going out with him.

They strolled down the dark streets which were only illuminated by the street lights and some passing cars. The streets were pretty empty probably mostly due to the latest event.

Peter took the other's arm hugging it and taking his hand with the other gently squeezing it and looking up at him smiling reassuringly. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"Nah, maybe later what about you?"

"No."

The cold winter air was nicely grazing their skin as the holidays and the end of the year crept closer and closer. This night had been a long night.

Wade looked at Peter in the giant jacket and chuckled.

Peter just looked at him confused.

"Sorry, it's just we really got to get you a winter jacket."

"Huh? Oh yeah." Peter smiled looking at the amount of fabric hanging off him. He wasn't even that small but Wade was just bulky as hell, something he found attractive and it drove him crazy sometimes.

"So about that date, how about I pick you up after your evening shift and I'll surprise you."

"You don't have t-"

"I know but I already got the perfect plan for it," Wade smirked he truly had a nice plan in his head for their date night. There were many places he wanted to take him, like an aquarium, perfect lighting to make out or a museum where the other could nerd out but there was one place he liked a lot in New York and he thought might be the best place for a calm no crime-fighting evening.

"Alright." Peter smiled and squeezed his hand again.

They kept walking for a while until coming to a small park with a bench to sit down on. The night went on as they just sat there enjoying each other's company.

"It's oddly serene for the fact that this is probably usually a drunk and high people spot."

"Ey those are the best. Trust me high people have good taste."

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Peter leaned against him staring at the horizon where the sun slowly began to rise. The night had felt so long like the longest in his life but even the long stretches eventually come to an end.
