"I didn't really know how you wanted it so I hope this is okay," Mattheo mumbled.
I spun around, taking in the boy standing in front of me.
He twisted the rings on his fingers nervously and had a anxious aura surrounding him, but he was still somehow the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
I smiled wistfully and reached out to take his hand. "It's perfectly fine, love."
He pulled me closer and slid a hand to cup my cheek. "Merlin, I can't believe you're really here."
Words don't do love justice, I decided.
I pushed up on my toes, placing one hand at the base of his neck as I kissed him. I felt his lips curve into a smile before he dropped my hand he had been holding and brought it to the small of my back.
He still tasted the same, like mint and lemons and everything good. I pulled back to look at him, grinning with happiness at his dark eyes and pink lips. Who would have thought I would come to love the face that I once so deeply hated.
Mattheo gripped my chin and brought me back to his mouth, nipping at my bottom lip and testing my boundaries with his tongue.
Those months without him, I missed him in every way.
"Please..." I whispered.
"I thought you didn't beg, Holt?"
Good lord, he had me weak at the knees.
I smiled again. "I think there is very little I wouldn't do for you anymore."
Mattheo groaned and his hand dropped from where it held my face to clasp my neck. I drew a deep breath before pushing impossibly closer and into his hand.
All reason flew out the window the second he kissed me again, his tongue licking into my mouth and his hands dragging me so I stood fully against him. I trailed my hands up to his shoulders and back down his arms again, shivering as I felt goosebumps rise in my fingers wake.
A small noise of desperation left my throat as Mattheo dipped his head to bite at my neck, loosing all the gentleness that had covered his movements before. Not that I minded.
"Bed. Now."
I grinned and walked backwards, dragging Mattheo along with me. He licked his lips, looking me up and down. "Fuck you're gorgeous. You have no idea how much I've missed you."
"Oh really?" I smiled. He nodded vigorously. "Then show me."
I moved backwards onto the large bed as soon as my knees hit the edge, Mattheo following close behind. He seemed so focused on me, on my body. This is what being worshipped feels like, a small voice whispered in the back of my head. My heart fluttered at it.
His lips stained my body, colouring each unmarked piece of skin with his own colours of beautiful purples and reds. As each article of clothing went missing, either thrown to the floor or lost in the sheets we were tangled in, Mattheo pressed more and more of himself into me.
It was only once my top and bra were long gone and my legs were wrapped around his waist that he kissed just below my left breast, his tongue tracing the letters that stood out a silvery pink.
"This has healed up nicely, hasn't it darling?" He whispered into my neck. "No matter how long you go without me, you'll always be mine."
I whined, grinding up to get some friction and making Mattheo chuckle. His shirt was elsewhere and his skin felt like a sooth to a burn on my own.
