Chapter 53 ~ Marigolds

Start from the beginning

Whatever thoughts he had about the way my hip bones stuck out more or my ribs showed, he didn't voice. I was grateful, even as I withered under his dark gaze.

"I needed you- shit, I needed you so bad," I whimpered.

"I know. I know princess. I'm here now, it's okay."

The rhythmic movement was blissfully familiar as I breathed in his scent. He was everything that was safe and happy to me now. I was never a sappy kind of person, but I could spend forever wrapped in him and the way he tasted and smelt and moved.

I gasped as his hand slipped under the cotton of my underwear, teasing around the edges before circling my clit.

"Fuck, I need it now, Mattheo," I cried.

He grinned down at me with his hair falling over his face and his lips red and bitten.

He quickly pulled off his boxers, moaning when I licked my palm and reached down to stroke him. I pulled off and let him guide himself, breathing out and relaxing to prepare for the stretch that came with a lack of foreplay.

"Oh Merlin, fuck-"

I pulled him down by his neck to kiss him, lapping up every groan and whine that left his mouth.

He panted as he started to move, his hips slowly reaching a good speed that had me choking on my own breath. "So impatient, you just-" he moaned as I tightened my legs around him, "-couldn't wait. You just needed me right now, didn't you?"

I gasped my response, too carried away in the building pressure to form actual words.

He retraced his earlier steps, kissing the new marks that had appeared on my skin faster than they normally would have. He liked seeing me like this, liked knowing that everyone knew I was his.

My mind was so wrapped in the pleasure that threatened to consume me that I didn't have time to warn Mattheo as it all came crashing down. My back arched off the bed as the corners of my vision went dark, leaving only Mattheo in front of me to see.

His hips stuttered, moving once, twice more before he came too with a whimper.

"Mattheo?" I mumbled, lifting my head to nuzzle at his jaw. He made a small noise of content before laying his head on my shoulder, still inside me,

I reached down, sifting his hair through my fingers as I came back from my blissful high. "I love you."

Mattheo kissed my collarbone affectionately. "Love you too princess, so glad you're home." His words were muffled and a second later I felt him relax completely, evidence that he was asleep.

My eyes closed and I hummed softly as I followed him into darkness.

...

The Dark Manor was a fitting name for the narrow corridors and locked rooms that made up the fortress of Mattheo's home. So many rooms looked like they hadn't seen sunlight in years and others gave me shivers even just walking past them.

Mattheo wasn't always there to keep me entertained. He had to leave to go on 'important business', which we both knew was another way of saying he had to meet with Death Eaters.

He left me at the wide oak doors each time with only a kiss and a promise to be home before dark. Not that it reassured me that much.

But, as far as I knew, he hadn't been on any raids or apart of any skirmishes, and that was enough for me.

On my third day in the Manor, I stumbled apon the kitchen. It was painfully empty, missing any chiefs love or actual food. I was yet to run into a house elf, something that I was both grateful for and worried about. The meals that appeared in the dinning room every morning and evening were proof that we weren't alone in the house and yet it lacked the pitter-patter of small feet, so unlike my childhood home.
