"What are you getting your Bachelor's in?" He asked as he smashed the cigarette in the ashtray beside him.

"Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Music." I smiled.

"Impressive, what do you want to do?"

"I want to manage young artists and one day become the CEO of a record label but I don't want it to run like a label," I said hoping he'd understand what I was saying.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Like labels try to run things about the artist. I wouldn't want percentages of the artists' revenue, I'd just be like a go-to for connections and publicity if an artist needed it. I don't like the whole idea of record labels taking money from artists' work. Like-" I said before he cut me off.

"I understand, that's why I haven't signed yet. I could do this shit with myself and with my collective, the Social Experiment." He said as he scratched his head. "We a movement. Iigh!" He squealed.

"I can finally cross that off my bucket list," I laughed.

"What?" He asked.

"That iigh!" I said trying to imitate him.

"That was a good try," he laughed. "Iigh! Iigh! Iigh! Iigh!" He said a few times in a row causing me to chuckle. "Well I'm hungry, so." He trailed off. "I'm going to make food," he said as he hopped up from the couch and looked down at me. "Come on," he said as he extended his arm out for me to grab.

I grabbed his hand and followed him into the kitchen.

"I love this island," I told him as I took a seat.

"Thanks." He said as he went looking through his two-door black refrigerator. "You cook?" He asked as he pulled out a container.

"Yes, but I only cook things I like. So if I've never had or don't like something I don't know how to cook it," I admitted as he turned the oven on.

"What do you like?" He asked.

"A lot of things, let's focus on the dont's."

"You're a picky eater, huh?" He asked as he took spaghetti out of the container and placed it in a baking dish.

"Yes," I laughed.

"Do you like spaghetti?" He asked as he sprinkled cheese over the top.

"Yeah," I responded.

"You want some?" He asked. "It's really good."

"Sure," I responded as the oven beeped.

"Do you like chicken, seafood, or pasta?" He asked as he put the baking dish on the bottom rack in the oven.

"I like chicken, not really a fan of chicken with bones though unless they're wings or drumsticks.." I stated. "I like crabs, crab legs, and shrimp, and hushpuppies!" I squealed. "And yeah I love pasta. What about you?" I asked.

"I love chicken, seafood, and pasta, I eat a lot of things honestly," he spoke. "Do you like vegetables?" He asked.

"I like broccoli, green beans, and my grandma's collard greens, that's it."

"Yeah me too. I don't fuck with vegetables like that," he said as he opened the oven.

He pulled the baking dish out and put it on top of the stove.

"Ready to eat?" He asked as he started making two plates.

"Yeah, I'll get the drinks if you don't mind" I told him as I started walking to the two-door black refrigerator. "What would you like?" I asked as I looked over juice, lemonade, tea, water, wine, and a purple substance in a pitcher which looked like kool-aid all in this refrigerator.

"Some tea," he told me.

"Gotcha." I said as I got two glasses from the cabinet to the left.

I poured two glasses of tea and sat them on the island.

"You made this?" I asked after I took a sip from my glass.

"Yea," he said as he sat a plate in front of me.

"It's good," I said as I grabbed his hand for grace.

I said grace then dug in to my food. It was so delicious.

"Want to watch a movie?" He asked as he finished cleaning the dishes.

"Sure," I responded as he led me to his bedroom.

I sat on the edge of his bed looking around.

"Get comfortable," he said as he took off his sneakers.

I proceeded to taking off my shoes, then my socks. Chance then took off his pants causing me to bust out laughing at his skinny ass legs.

"Do you be skipping leg day or nah?" I laughed.

"You got jokes" he chuckled.

"I'm serious, you have chicken legs." I laughed some more.

"Shut up," he said as he threw a pillow at me causing me to laugh more.

"What movie you want to watch?" He asked. "I also have Netflix and Hulu Plus, so unlimited options."

"Whatever you want to watch," I told him as I laid on one of his pillows.

"You sure?" He asked.

"Yeah," I said getting comfortable in the middle of the bed.

He put on Gone Girl.

"I love this movie," I exclaimed.

"I've never seen it but I heard it was good, just long." He said as he laid behind me.

I was near the bottom half of the bed and he was near the top half. We were still close but not touching.

"I'm gon fall asleep quick, so don't get mad." I told him.

"I ain't gon be mad," he laughed. "I'm tired too." He said. "Good night Ny,"

"Good night Chance," I said before I slowly drifted into a deep sleep.
