But it was like the moment she moved to Broward for her new job she was in a relationship. It happened so quick but he checked so many of the boxes she wanted in a partner. Until she realized how much of a liar he was. He was too good at it and could sell a story to just about anyone, and he lied for no reason. It made her feel like he was cheating on her but she never actually found out or caught him in the act, because she didn't try to. Her gut was all she needed.

About a week after their breakup she was told he a surprise child had been sprung upon him from one of his exes and he'd been trying to build with them. Asha didn't care. That wasn't anything to lie about but he still did. Constantly.

"A big ass liar." was all she offered.

"Oh damn. Ya boy Chez is single again too."

"Uhn, uhn." she shook her head. "I don't want to hear none of that. Anybody that steps to me again has to come allll the way correct or I'm stabbing somebody. Men have irritated me enough. I'm tired!"

"So never again? Y'all will forever be cordial?" asked Jema.

"Like I said, anybody wanting to step to me has to come correct or I'm not hearing it. I'm officially playing the side line."

"What I'm hearing is tell him to spin the block. Y'all?" Nautica looked between Je and Drew.

"Don't even bother. They've apart four years. Just let them rock and do their own thing." Jema fanned her hand.

Thank you.

Asha grabbed her personal mix of drinks she made without her mother's knowledge and took a big gulp. Like her cousin knew she no longer wanted to ponder relationships Tre Oh Fie's Lay It Down remix blasted. She rose from her seat and skipped over to her dancing aunts to join them, lifting her dress from her ankles to shake ass easier. Hit it from the back, ah, ah, ah. She squatted down popping her ass as she went around in a circle.

One of her aunts went down into a squat with her and they began to match their moves with their tongues between their teeth. Not able to stay down as long as Asha she came back up and pulled her niece up with her.

"You don't want this," Jeremiah pulled her away from the older women when the song switched to DJTB305's When Da Beat Drop.

"Boy what? Don't let this dress get you embarrassed."

He didn't bother to talk back. He went right into his moves,  bucking and riding out to the beat with swinging arms, getting in her personal space. When he put his hands on his knees and bounced around in a circle, slightly popping his back, she started laughing then pushed him away. She whammed from where she stood over to his personal space before she started to stick. That was until she got too close and he pushed her back. He went hit the wood then spun around into a smooth clutch that made the watchers cheer.

Elijah pulled Asha back and took his turn at Jeremiah only for a circle to form where everyone swapped each other out. Asha was standing back watching everyone until she peeked over at the table her father and them occupied.

She marched over and stood in front of her granddaddy, "Um sir what is this?" she tapped the solo cup of brown liquor before picking it up for a sniff. "Are you drinking at 70 years old!?"

"Baby relax I ain't gon' die." he cooly replied, glancing over the deck of card in his hand.

"You think you grown? You're not. After this no more and I'm serious, grandad."

He raised his hands, "I hear ya. Now stop watchin' over me and gon on somewhere. You bout to mess me up."

"Don't give him anything else." she pointed at Ashton and Ruben. They held their hands up like they weren't intervening.
