"Well this is a pleasant surprise," he snickered. "What brings the King of Games here?"
"I'm here to talk to Ryo," Yugi said boldly.
Bakura raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And why is that?"
"That's for him to know," Yugi growled.
"What makes you think he'll even want to talk to you? Yugi, the boy hates you with all of his heart. Or whatever is left of it anyway," he added with a smirk.
"What are you talking about?" Yugi demanded.
"You're the reason he is turning into a monster, why he is becoming the way that he is."
"What?" Yugi stared at him in confusion.
"You never figured it out?" Bakura asked in surprise. He laughed. "Well then, it's about time you knew. None of this would've happened if it weren't for you."
Yugi's eyes widened. "What? What do you mean?"
"Oh come on Yugi, don't act so ignorant. Ryo made a deal with me because the darkness inside him took over. His strength gave out from fighting it. And you know what caused him to break? You!" He pointed at Yugi. "When you fought with him at the dance, you tore the poor boy's soul apart! You destroyed just about everything inside him that was good. And as if that wasn't bad enough, you went and stole his girlfriend on the same night!" He grinned as the realization and shock began to show in Yugi's face. "How's it feel, boy? How's it feel to be the cause of everything horrible that's been happening and that will happen?"
Yugi stepped back in shock. "I-I was the cause? Ryo's like this because of me?!"
"You better believe it!" Bakura laughed as the Millennium Ring illuminated and and Ryo took his place. He glared at Yugi with pure hatred.
"Ryo! I swear, I never meant to hurt you like this! I'm sorry! I truly am! I wanted to apologize for what I said at the dance right after I said it, but you disappeared. Please stop this!"
Ryo just stared at him angrily. "It's too late for your pathetic apology, Yugi. What's done is done. You can't undo the damage that's been done. This isn't going to end until one of us pays dearly for their mistakes!"
"Then let it be me!" Yugi yelled. "Take it out on me, but stop fighting against everyone else. No one else deserves this. They've done nothing wrong! I'll let do whatever you want to me, but you need to stop this Ryo! Let everyone else go."
Ryo paused for a moment. Then he started laughing, not unlike Bakura's well-known crazed laugh. "You really think that it'd be that easy?! I'm no pushover Yugi, I keep my word. I will destroy you, but I am not going to stop until everyone pays for their crimes!" His eyes turned white, while his body darkened into a pitch black. His duel armor illuminated and transformed into the silent magician armor. He pulled out the enchanted golden dagger from his capsule launcher and it transformed along with his armor into a huge white sword. Ryo pointed it at Yugi threateningly. "I will finish you now," he snarled in a dark, corrupted voice. "You will pay for everything you've done!" He let out an angry cry and charged at Yugi.
Yugi activated his armor to merge with Ken, and his weapon fell into his hands. He barely had enough time to raise it in order to block Ryo's incoming attack. Yugi parried his sword away and leapt back a few feet.
"The darkness can affect you as a human too?!" Yugi panted. Ryo grinned evilly.
"Surprised? You shouldn't really be, it makes a lot of sense if you think about it. Now I can have this power to defeat you by sword!" He dived at Yugi, bringing his sword back in preparation for a large, powerful swing. The sword illuminated brightly. Yugi's eyes widened as Ryo swung the blade at him. A blast of light exploded from the blade and hit Yugi like a bat would a baseball, sending him tumbling into the wall.
