"Lauren Lauren Lauren Lauren " Joseph and Penelope celebrate, Selina and the others do not look too happy about his offer in my name .

"Thanks I guess " I shrug.

His head falls back ,forehead creased" do you drink ?" He asks .

I Look at him. damn he is hot .his brown eyes just get to me." yes ?why ?does that shock you?" .

" no of course not , you don't seem quite happy at my offer that's why I'm a little bit taken aback, people  who drink usually get hyped when someone else offers to pay for the booze " .

" well .. I guess I am not that much of a alcohol fan" I say nonchalantly.

he pauses searching my eyes for something , " what ?" I ask calmly.

he shakes his head , " what happened to you ?, are you really Lauren or her duplicate ?" he asks.

" shut up as if there is such a thing " Miranda intervenes pushing him lightly on the shoulder, I don't know if I am imagining things but I have never seen Miranda look at a guy like he is made of lilies  , her fiancé used to bring her lilies at work so I figured it was her favorite  .

" I just... " he stares at me a little longer , " she was the most jovial person I've ever met in my life , her smile used to brighten my day not just my day every guy's day , there was a time my mom wanted me to transfer because of the bullying but I refused because that  meant I would never get to see her sweet smile again, she was always happy I don't know if she never had problems or issues like some of us did  and today I don't see that happy spirit in her , I am starting to think I am mistaking her for someone else " he explains clearly still trying to figure out if he's mistaken or not.

" well people change that's life " Miranda tries to defend me as awkwardness fills the table , everyone in this circle knows the reason I am like this now.

He doesn't seem to hear Miranda's defense as his eyes somehow fall on my ring ,"ohh" he nods to himself ," makes total sense " a hint of disappointment in his expression .

" what ?" ,Miranda asks him " you didn't even greet Penelope , Selena and Jacqueline but you have already started talking....side note everyone Austin right here can talk until your ears bleed so be careful " .

Selena twists her hair around her finger ,"I wouldn't mind bleeding for him all day " , all of us frown at her.

"What? " she shrugs unashamed .

Austin flushes ," hi there miss Selina" he stands up to greet them by planting kisses on their hands .

" Oh please don't be so formal with me , just call me Selena " .

"Okay Selena" ,she blushes at the sound of  her name .

"So what are we having ?" He claps his hands and rubs them together before sitting back down on his chair , his scent is enticing my mind almost making me jump to  fantasy land .

" what are we having ?"He asks .

" we were about to play a game of never have I ever with the next round of shots " Joseph answers.

" great !, I love that game ,barman ! Shots please !" he shouts .

We all laugh at him ," it doesn't work like that boss, you have to go and get them yourself " Miranda says to his ear.

I watch the both of them ,wonder woman with Mr. Noodle legs , I laugh at the thought of them being together , Everyone at the table looks at me even the people I'm laughing at.

"We would also love to laugh Mrs. Price " Penelope is curious .

" I can bet 10 grand that she's laughing at me " Austin says .

Oh oh , I try to come up with an excuse in my mind but fail miserably .

" true , but I'm not laughing at the you now , just the old you, I guess I'm finding it difficult to digest that someone who was unattractive like you back in the day can look like this today " I cover up .

Everyone makes that oooh sound ,"so in other words you are saying I look like a god? I think Mr. Price has to watch out because Mrs. Price just might become Mrs. Mayor " he says .

I smirk internally , as hot as he is I'd never go for him even if he was the world's wealthiest man  , I'm still scarred  by the image of his younger version I don't think I can see him as any different than that kid who used to stutter and get bullied everyday because of his appearance , surprisingly his noodle legs aren't so noodle anymore , his physic is exactly like Jason Statham's .

Miranda hits him on the shoulder again ," don't you know better than to flirt with married women " .

" was he really that unattractive in school ?" Penelope asks .

" very " I say sipping my drink , his face falls but quickly recovers , I forgot that he is human , I live with someone who treats me like I'm not ,my comment was a bit harsh .

" not that much actually, he wasn't that unattractive I always thought he was cute ".

  he blushes slightly ."My soul crush is complimenting me today , I don't think I'll be able to sleep " he bangs his head on the table ," why couldn't you just wait for me to glow up before you got married? "his tone matching the agony in his heart.

"Soul crush? , You're really weird" Miranda doesn't like that word .

" well I'm still single " Penelope raises up her hands .

Austin glances at her ," But you didn't defend me from bullies ,that's where she stole my heart, the love of my life has married another  " he turns his head back on the table like a stubborn kid.

we all laugh , I don't think anyone is taking him seriously , judging by his attitude it is very easy to tell that he is the type that never takes anything seriously , if only he was like this back in high school ." maybe in the next life time champ " I brush him teasingly on the shoulder .

but I know what he just said was not really a joke , I always knew he had a crush on me , he'd stare at me everyday in class and every time I decided to greet him just to make his day he'd freeze like he has seen a ghost .
