After she finally finished talking Olivia led me back outside. "God, that woman can speak," she sighed.
"I always wear my makeup like this," I said, referring to my dark, smoky eyeliner again.
"If the headmistress and Ms. Smith, the talkative virgin back there, catches you again they play no jokes. You get no warning. Consider that your first and last warning here in ACP." Olivia warned me.
"I hate this school already," I sighed.
"So do I, look what my talking back once got me in?" she said, standing at the entrance and beginning to hand out papers again.
"Well, I'll see you back the dorm I guess, gotta meet my aunt and uncle," I waved goodbye and ran down to greet Sam and Meghan.
"How was your first unofficial day?" Meghan asked, excepting me to be gushing in happiness.
"Hate the school, and they're even discriminating my makeup!" I scoffed.
"Well, it is a bit much," Sam muttered.
"Samuel..." Meghan growled.
"My dorm is Room 16C, Campus C." I said, ignoring them.
"There's more than one campus building?" Sam gaped.
"They have to separate the boys and girls, Sam. Obviously if you observed your surroundings like I did you'd see there are four campuses. Two boys, two girls," Meghan rolled her eyes. God, I loved this couple.
Samuel grudgingly placed the suitcases back in the trunk, while I assisted Meghan in the passenger side. Sam stepped into the driver seat and sighed, "Where's Campus C?"
"I don't know. I just got here," I told him.
"Bah!" he protested, sounding like a wild duck. Meghan reached over and slapped the back of his head.
"It's down the street. I saw it while we were coming in," she said.
He smiled at her, "I love you."
"Go." she sighed.
We backed up and drove a few meters down the streets and parked in front of the entrance. "This is a dorm? It's fancier than the actual school," Sam gasped. I was at a loss for words, both of us hadn't seen it when coming in the street. Finally, we snapped out our trance and reached in the back and took the bags out, while Meghan held the door open for us. "It's so far away.." Sam whined. He reminded me of a complaining three year old, but he was funny and that's why Meghan probably married him.
"Be grateful it's not on the top floor," I told him. 14C. 15C. I thought in my head, smiling when I got to 16C. I took out my key from my key, put it in the slot, then twisted the doorknob. It opened in ease and I saw the room was tiddly kept, with occasional posters of Bruno Mars, Olivia had good taste in music I see.
We put the bags down and Samuel sighed, studying the room quietly. Moments later Meghan appeared. "This is goodbye," Sam sighed.
"Remember, you promised you'd visit on the weekends. I'll need help with the baby when it's born. You can't depend on this loser for anything," she joked, jerking a thumb in Samuel's direction.
"You love this loser," he grinned.
"As much as it pains me to admit." she sighed playfully.
"Excuse me. We're supposed to be having a painful good-bye. Not flirting in the doorway of my dorm," I pretended to be hurt.
"Promise me this isn't our final good bye, Alex. You're a very sweet girl and your parents are lucky to have you. They must be so proud," Meghan laughed, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. If you only knew, I thought. I nodded and they walked out the door, giving me a final hug.
After that touching reunion I took it in my nature to also pounce on the small unoccupied twin bed in the corner. It hurt a little considering it didn't have covers, like in my room back in Meghan and Sam's place. I picked up the white paper I hadn't had time to review and scanned it. It was my list of classes. I decided to bump up my behavior here. I caused my parents way to much pain, that was why I was obviously here.
"I'm done! And you're here! You're coming out! You need to meet my friends," Olivia shouted, bursting through the door.
"I just got here," I protested, flipping over on my stomach.
"No! You can't become a loner," she replied, pulling me by my legs to force me out of bed.
"I will scream rape." I threatened.
It would've worked if she hadn't already made me fall on my bottom. "Alright I'm coming," I surrendered, walking behind her.
There was a group of kids waiting outside. My lips went dry and my eyes popped out when I saw him. He didn't recognize me, just stood there looking bored. He didn't look much different, just taller and his hair had been cut. Finally his eyes met mine and I did what any sane girl would do at this point. I fainted.
