"I did mention that the fate of the universe is at stake, didn't I? Hurry, we haven't much time." Dad ran and left. He went back again and looked at me.
"Be safe, Y/n. Okay?"
"Of course." I smiled. Then, he finally left.
"Okay, Dipper. It's your first big mission with Ford. A chance to prove yourself. Don't mess this up." He ran and hit the wall.
"I'm alright."
Mabel looked at me.
"He'll be fine."

We entered Gravity Falls High School Gym and, boy, it is filled with teenage angst.
"Whoa, Soos, I thought you said this place was empty." Mabel said. Wendy saw us.
"My dawgs, what up?"
"Wendy, what are you doing here?" Mabel asked Wendy.
"Ugh, high school registration." She answered.
"Oooh! You know I'm only a year away from high school myself. Would you say your experience is more rom-com or wacky romp?" She asked.
"More like teen horror movie. High school is the worst. Classes get super hard, your body just flat out turns against you, and worst of all, everybody hates you." Wendy explained. We looked at the area as the two teenagers are growling at each other, Thompson is crying, and Robbie is punching the posters.
"High school is not that bad, right? How about you? How was it?" Mabel asked me. I laughed, remembering all the worst things that happened during high school.
"High school was easy." Mabel smiled with hope.
"It was like riding a bike. Except the bike was on fire and the ground was on fire and everything was on fire because you're in hell." I finished my statement as Mabel frowned.
"How about college?"
"You don't wanna know, Mabel. You don't wanna know." I smiled as I pat her shoulders.
"Why aren't they singing about following their dreams? TV taught me that high school was like some sort of musical." Mabel remarked.
"TV lied, man! If you could avoid growing up, do it. I'd give anything to be 12 again. Anyway, what are you guys doing here?" Wendy asked.
"Oh, just looking for a place to have my 13th birthday party." Mabel chuckled sadly.
"Wendy Borduroy? I-I mean Corduroy?" The teacher called as all of the students laughed. I can see that Wendy is annoyed.
"See what I mean?" Mabel looked at her sadly. She decided to leave the gym.
"It's going to be a tough day, isn't it, Soos?"
"Yeah, Y/n. How about let's swing by to Candy and Grenda to make her feel better?" Soos suggested.
"That would be great." I smiled.
Soos and I exited the gym and saw Mabel sitting dolefully.
"Hey, I know what'll make you feel better. Let's deliver some invites to your friends, huh?"
"Yeah!" Mabel smiled.
We're on our way to Grenda's house but somehow, I felt nervous and anxious all of the sudden. I looked at Mabel in the mirror and somehow she has some hope in her. I sighed, thinking that this is not the right time to tell her that I'm going home today. Mabel hops out of the car first. I watched her talk to Grenda.
