My goal was to be the last one to say a number. "Start, 1!" Jay quickly said. "2!" Sunghoon and Jake said at the same time. "Ahhh!" We all shouted. "We lost!" Sunghoon shouted.
"This is a practice round, right?" Jungwon asked. "Yeah, it's a practice round" Sunoo and I said. "It's a practice round if we lose" Jay said. "Should we do an En's Get it! Before starting?" Jungwon asked.
"This is the actual game" I said. "Start, 1" Jay said. "2!" Jake and Ni-Ki said together. "Oh my god!" I shouted while everyone screamed. "Jake just don't say anything, just be quiet!" I laughed. "But the 3rd game is the real one" Jungwon said. "We can't argue out of this" Sunghoon said.
"This is too hard" Jake said. "How do we do this?" Heeseung asked. "One more chance" Jungwon and Ni-Ki said. "Guys, read my eyes" Jake said and turned to all of them. "We're gonna starve!" Heeseung whined.
"Start!" The staff said. "1" Jay said. "2" Heeseung said. "3" Jake said. "4" Jungwon quickly said. "5" Sunghoon said. "6" The staff said. "Ahhh!" We all screamed. "We can't lose dakbokkeumtang!" Sunghoon said.
"Quick wit game, ready, go!" The staff said. "1" Jay said. "2" Jake said. "3" Heeseung said. "4" Jungwon said. "5" Ni-Ki said. "6" Sunghoon said "7" Sunoo said. "8!" I shouted as we all cheered.
"There was no room to butt in this time!" Heeseung said. "I think they went easy on us" Sunghoon laughed. The staff showed the menu to choose from. "Take out the dotorimuk!" Sunghoon said.
"Should we go with dakbokkeumtang?" Jungwon asked. "Yup, dakbokkeumtang!" Sunoo agreed. We succeeded in getting ¼ of the dakbokkeumtang. "Will ¼ do for 8 people?" I wondered.
This was the last round of the quick wit game. "1" Jay said. "2" Jake said. "3" Heeseung said. "4" Sunghoon said "5" Ni-Ki said. "6" Jungwon said. "7" Sunoo said. "8" I quickly said.
"Isn't there one game left?" Sunghoon asked. They gave us a choice of our menu item again. "Should we go with the same one?" Jay asked. "No, I want dotorimuk," I pouted. "Then we should go with the dotorimuk," Jay said.
"No way! Let's go with the dakbokkeumtang. Quantity matters" Sunoo said. "Okay, let's go with the dakbokkeumtang" I sighed.
The staff explained our next game would be cham, cham, cham. It went by really quickly since we just kept winning, so we ended up winning 4 times and got 1 dakbokkeumtang. "We'll go with 2/4 of the duck" Jay said.
"The next game is the Four syllable quiz" The staff said. "Oh, this" Jungwon sighed. "Do we have to guess the latter part?" Sunghoon asked. Whenever they told us all members must win, I knew I couldn't win.
"Did you understand completely?" Jake asked Ni-Ki. "I did" Ni-Ki nodded. "Fighting, fighting, let's go" Jake said.
"Starting with Ni-Ki" The staff said. "Chari" They said. "Sma" Ni-Ki finished. "Wi" The staff said. "Fi!" Sunghoon exclaimed. "Elementary". "Student!" Heeseug finished. "North" The staff said. "South" Jungwon said.
The staff suddenly pointed to Jake. "Smart" They said. "E-phone!" Jake replied. "What?" I laughed with everyone. "What's a Smarephone!" We all teased. The staff pointed to Jake again. "Me again?" he asked.
"Coffee" They said. "Latte" Jake said. "It's right! Isn't it?" He cheered as we all looked at him confused. "What on earth is a coffee latte!" Sunghoon laughed. "Yah!" Jay shouted. "There is a coffee latte!" Jake tried to explain. "Coffee milk!" Sunghoon said.
"Isn't there a coffee latte?" Jake asked. "Where in the world?" Jay laughed. "Coffee and latte are different!" Heeseung said. "Ugh, caffe latte!" Jake groaned. "But this one was hard" Sunoo said. "This is too hard" Jungwon said.
Thank goodness it never came to my turn. "It's okay, since this is hard" Sunoo assured. "One more try, since it's fun?" Sunghoon asked. "We'll go one more time!" The staff agreed.
"Can we have 2 more rounds?" Heeseung tried to negotiate. "Sorry" he quickly said. "How can all 8 of us succeed?" I mumbled. "Then we'll begin!" The staff said.
"A success if just 4 people succeed!" They said. They pointed to sunghoon. "Blue" They said. "Pepper!" He quickly said and almost immediately laughed.
I slowed turned around to him and gave him a glare. Blue pepper? "Look it up! There might be a blue pepper!" Jay tried to argue. "This might be in the dictionary!" He continued arguing. "Please let it exist, please!" Sunghoon begged.
There is no way a blue pepper will exist. "Let's ask Nicholas!" Heeseung shouted and pointed towards me. "He travels a lot, he will know of one!" He said. "Call him!" The other members joined in.
I looked at the staff who gave me a nod. "Blue pepper is just a pepper" Sunghoon said. The staff handed me my phone and I quickly called my father, who immediately picked up and I quickly put it on speaker
"Go for Nicholas" He answered in English. "Dad, does a blue pepper exist?" I asked as everyone was waiting in anticipation. "What the hell is a blue pepper?" He asked which made everyone laugh. "So a blue pepper does not exist?" I asked again.
"There's a blueberry, but who would think of a blue pepper?" He asked and everyone started laughing at Sunghoon. "Thanks dad" I laughed. "Blue pepper? Blue pepper?" he started questioning himself as I hung up.
"Sorry" Sunghoon laughed. "It's okay, this was really hard" Jungwon said. The staff started giving us some model answers. "Blueberry! I wanted to say blueberry!" Sunghoon shouted. The staff luckily gave us a last chance as I handed back my phone.
"The last, for real!" Jake said. "Starting with Sunghoon?" I asked. "Let's start here" He said and pointed to Sunoo. "Let's go around like this" The staff said.
"They're going way too easy on us" Heeseung laughed. "Mixed" The staff said and pointed to Heeseung. "Noodles" He said. "Course" The staff said and pointed to Jungwon. "Meal!" He replied. They pointed to Sunoo next. "ENHY" They said. "PEN!" Sunoo answered with a small voice crack.
"This one, they just handed it to us!" Sunghoon laughed. "They just threw it to us" He said. "If we got ENHYPEN wrong" Jake laughed.
"Let's get ¼ dotorimuk for Emily" Jay said. "Yeah, we can do that" Jungwon nodded. "Yes!" I cheered and threw my hands up. One last game for more food. "Muk-jji-ppa!" The staff said.
"I'm so bad at this" Sunghoon said. "Muk-jji-ppa?" Me, Ni-Ki and Jake asked. All the members started to explain the game to us, but I still didn't understand. As soon as the game started, Sunghoon lost.
Ni-Ki and I got to play rock, paper, scissors since we didn't understand. The staff did a quick change in rules to where only 6 members need to win. "I think 6 will still be hard, though" jake sighed.
"Rock, paper, scissors" The staff said as Ni-Ki lost. "Now, the rest of us just need to win" Sunoo said. I watched Jay play muk-jji-ppa and still could not understand it, but he won. Sunoo then lost the game after a nice battle. Jungwon, Jake, Heeseung ended up winning the rest while I lost rock, paper, scissors.
The staff were now going to give us a bonus game of Cham, cham, cham. Which we won and then we also won another game as well. We finished off the duck and got ¾ gamjajeon. We had 1 dakbokkeumtang, 1 duck, ¼ dotorimuk, and ¾ gamjajeon. Now, it was time to finish our way to lunch!
