"Yes! I can go! I can help you pick out a present for him!" Y/n smiled excited to continue the family tradition to visit the grandpa.

"Your Grandpa and Grandma aren't together?" Saiko asked Y/n who looked away. She seemed a little apprehensive about the question but she eventually nodded.

"Uh, yeah! He moved away 4 years ago. They continue to make it work. Even if he's pretty far away from here!" Y/n concluded quickly turning back to her meal. When she answered, the rest of the family became quiet.

The crisp cold air at 6 a.m was enough to make y/n a little more excited for the visit. She did her routine while Saiko slept soundly. She grabbed her mini backpack from downstairs ready to meet the old lady downstairs.

"Good morning Grandma!" Y/n cheered quietly. The old lady gave the girl her usual smile and waved at her while holding up her tea cup.

"Is Saiko not coming with us?" She asked curiously staring behind the girl for any sign of the teenage boy.

"I didn't think it would be appropriate for him to come? Do you want him to?" Y/n asked feeling herself becoming tense at the mention of her friend.

"It would be nice to have his company. He is comforting at times." The old lady spoke. Y/n sighed then nodded walking back upstairs to wake the boy up. It's not like she hated the idea of the boy coming. She was worried about how his views might change on her.

"Saiko... My grandma wants you to come with us." Y/n asked walking into the room where she saw the boy standing already. There was a small silence as the couple stared at each other. The girl's face began to heat up as her eyes slowly began to peer at his shirtless body. She slammed the door shut and then began apologizing to both the door and the boy.

"What a cliche." Y/n frowned hiding her hands in her face. After about a minute or two. The gray-haired boy came out of the room and see the girl kneeling and covering her face. She quickly stood up refusing to stare at the boy.

"I'm sorry." She said once again.

"It's fine! Your grandma said she wanted me to come?" Saiko asked the girl who nodded.

"Alright. Well, im ready so let's get going!" Saiko smiled trying to ease the tensions. He didn't want the girl to think of him any different. Then decided that acting oblivious and convincing the girl that everything was okay would be his ticket to getting the friendship back to how it was 4 minutes ago.
The girl simply nodded once again and walked down the steps to see the grandmother placing her slip-on shoes on.

"We're ready!" Y/n spoke to the lady who straightened up.

"We should hurry. Y/n's parents like taking the family to dinner at the end of the day." Grandma explained to the gray-haired boy who seemed to be urgently placing on his jacket and gloves.
The two finally left the house and walked into the town which also luckily acquired their little shopping center. The only reason the parents picked out the house was simply for the convenience of living next door to food. Instead of last time when they had lost the old lady due to the fact she didn't like sitting at home being bored out of her mind most days. That was before Y/n came into her life.

Once entering the store, the first thing Saiko noticed was the carts. He stared at them with disgust hating the idea of any of the two girls touching the cart. Y/n knew why he had been glaring at the cart. And in all honesty, she thought the cart looked just fine.
The girl smiled rolling her eyes slightly and reached over dragging him away from the carts.

"Relax Saiko. We're only here for two things!" Y/n smiled feeling much better after seeing the boy's true colors which she had grown to laugh at.

"We're getting a card first! Grandma. Do you want me to get the same flowers as usual?" Y/n asked peering over at the old lady. She nodded whilst eying the collection of cards. The three split up with Saiko following Y/n very closely behind. Y/n stopped once reaching the flowers and smiled constantly once spotting the familiar flowers she would always bring the old man. She grabbed the wrapped flowers and admired them quietly for a second.
