Chapter 25

" you know dad believes everything I tell him , Austin is mine and Ethan's friend and I invited him because Ethan felt bad that he wanted to come but couldn't because of work so Ethan asked me to take our friend along, he still sees Ethan as the hero that saved our family he will believe everything I tell him as long as Ethan's name is involved".

" yeah right .... you know sometimes I just think about how different our lives would've been if dad had never met Priyanka , she cost us everything and if I am not wrong she is still somewhere out there enjoying dad's money , she sued him for everything he had and did not even once think about us and besides its not like she cared about us she only pretended to " .

" my guess is that she did what she did because of the beauty business idea she had that required millions and since dad was not willing to give her that much she thought of a way to force his hand . she's probably living lavishly in paris like she always talked about ".

" she can enjoy the money all she wants but in the end she will pay for what she did because God is not a fool " she adds .

I do blame her the most out of everyone for how miserable I was and how difficult my life had become , if I get the chance and bump into her someday I will make sure she pays , I will sue her for her very breath , with the money I will start earning I will be able to afford a good lawyer and I am sure Austin would help me with the whole process , if anything I will take action and start looking for her after Dad's Dalfi , I know caitlyn won't approve but she doesn't really get to have a say because I was the one who suffered most because of that Priyanka woman.

after grabbing Ethan's coffee I head to the office , I find the whole staff gathered at the lounge area  with Ethan standing in the middle , I walk up to him and offer him his coffee , he stretches out his hand to take it. instantly my phone buzzes in my pocket , I don't know how but the moment my attention slips from  Ethan's hand  his trousers are soaking wet , everyone's mouth is agape knowing the scolding I am about to recieve , he looks down at his pants and looks at me with his fist clenched ,"sorry I ..." .

" its fine ....that will be all for today , please guys this has to be perfect " he turns around and walks away .

I am not the only one who is surprised , " what happened to Mr Price ?" Joseph asks .

I stand also wondering why he chose to keep quiet , " wasn't that his favourite suit ?" penelope asks ," I mean he always calls it his lucky suit "she shrugs.

they are as surprised and shocked as I am , " honestly I do not know " I respond .

" this office is not flogged with reporters and its all thanks to you so its obvious he feels a little guilty about  the fact that the person he abused in front of all of us  is the same person who went ahead and saved his reputation and this company " Miranda answers , " come on lets go Mr Price has assigned all of us with tons of work " .

Miranda drags me out of the lounge and straight into the elevator , " what did you do to Ethan I mean I get that he is grateful but this?, he told me that we have found a CFO but he didn't tell me who, I only found out this morning when I went through the papers he had asked Penelope to give me , did he bribe you to lie by putting the post over your head ?" she corners me .

" no , he had no idea I was going there " 

" oh I see .... so everything that we heard before the interview was true ?" 

" seems that way " 

" I guess I already knew that , who was that woman anyways ?" she asks .

" his highschool lover "

She mouths 'ohh'.

" can we not , talk about that right now , what was Ethan addressing the whole staff about ?" 

" the usual , and he said that changes are coming to this company because of the new project and something about our cleaner quitting her job ,  you know I've always wondered what the lady looks like , I have never seen her even once for the past 4 years yet she cleans this whole office so perfectly and makes sure things are put in order , I kind of liked her , I never once found any of my belongings missing , the previous cleaners  were always stealing the office equipment and everytime I'd leave any clothing behind they'd disappear forever , I am saddened she is leaving "

I look away ," I am sure he will find a great replacement " I respond .

he didn't tell me about letting me off the cleaning job last night he only spoke of my secretary post , my life seems to be falling back into place bit by bit.

" do you know her ?" Miranda asks .

"who ?"

" The lady , maybe I can speak to her and convince her to stay with us"

" yes I do but I don't think there's anything you can do or say that will convince her to stay , she has found a better offer and her family is already moving away , but I will tell her that although you did not know her you were very fond of her " , I lie very calmly .

" oh well in that case, I wish her the very best "

she doesn't seem suspicious in her response so that means she's buying it .
