" How dare yo-" he began before I cut him off.
" Oh shut up pretty boy. Your face will be fine, although I'd love to mess it up more. Don't you understand what you've done Tom?! YOU KILLED A FELLOW STUDENT! Godric! You just let that thing kill Myrtle! Whatever did she do to deserve that!?" I yelled at him enraged. Now that I could confirm it was Tom who murdered Myrtle, I could let all my anger out.
" That wasn't actually planned, she was just collateral damage, but her fate would've been the same! I'M CONTINUING SALAZAR SLYTHERINS NOBLE WORK! How have you not figured this out? Too busy prancing around with your friends, party hopping and drinking the night away?!" He yelled back to which I stilled momentarily, putting the processing on hold.
" You know what Tom? You're right. I never miss a party, never turn down a drink, hell I've even given away my virginity, but none of its ever enough to escape the nightmare you've put me in! AND YOU WANT TO KNOW THE WORST PART TOM? I. CAN'T. GET. OUT." I fumed as I finished, catching my breath.
After a moment I remembered his words. Continuing Salazar Slytherins work. That could only mean one thing. He was trying to purge the school of muggle borns using the basilisk. I immediately thought of Kurtis, Mila, and Myrtle.
Myrtle couldn't be saved from her tragic death. I could not let that repeat.
I turned so I was directly facing Tom. I slowly took two steps forward, so there was barely space between us. I roughly grabbed his neck and jerked it down so my mouth was right next to his ear.
" This won't happen again, love. If you so much as try anything, I swear to Godric if anyone ends up dead...it'll be me." I stated without falter. I'm wouldn't let Tom and his pet kill anyone else. They'd have to get through me first.
With a harsh movement I shoved his neck away as his breath faltered. I walked down the walkway past the snakes, and with a 'heshahasa' I was out the bronze door.
There's always more and more problems to worry about with him. And they kept getting darker and darker. But if I'm going down, I'm dragging him with me.
...
The following Monday brought another shock. Professor Binns, upon arriving to his History of Magic class, was a ghost. Students were shocked but we all saw it coming. No one spoke up and told him he was a ghost, seeing as he didn't even realize it.
We later learned at lunch that he had passed away in his sleep, apparently falling asleep by the fireplace in the teachers lounge, and when he got up, he was a ghost. A peculiar situation it was.
Wrapping up my Charms essay, I looked at the clock. Sighing I got up. It was my least favorite time on my least favorite day. Sneaking off as other students made their way to the dining hall, I headed for the Room of Requirement.
I swung the door open, letting out a sigh as I let it close behind me.
" I already know we're about to fight, so entertain me with today's topic would you?" I spoke as shuffled up on the table, crossing my legs and looking over expectedly at Tom. His brow raised at me before he spoke.
" Recruitment."
" Wait it actually could be worse." I said as my eyebrows raised in surprise.
" Is that a challenge?" Aldus questioned with a smirk. I smacked his arm before leaning in and covering my mouth with my hand.
" Don't give him any ideas!" I spoke through my teeth. He chuckled and I removed my hand, casting the lot of them an innocent smile.
With a shake of his head, Tom picked up the topic again.
